I'm absolutely certain that he has, and has a conviction to prove it.
I'm certain that the manager will not have considered this at all and is totally obvious to this risk. And the squad harmony? Shoving a dickhead of a human being into a squad who are playing well and achieving as a result?
If he was still a dickhead Wilder wouldn’t sign him and Warnock wouldn’t have. And the squad harmony? Shoving a dickhead of a human being into a squad who are playing well and achieving as a result?
Also a nice guyCan see it now. Booed onto the pitch by his own fans for his debut as sub, has his every touch booed, then bags the winning goal and everybody on here then says what a brilliant signing he was.
I don’t think his criminal conviction is the whole reason people would rather he not sign.
It’s the fact that he has proved himself to be a wanker of the highest order.
Yep let’s just forget he assaulted a bloke for simply being a Blades fan. Yet many are welcoming him in open arms and criticising those who don’t want him. Weird fucking fans some of you.
He was convicted in court ffs, what kind of evidence do you require? Not the whole reason, but the fact he spun the jaw of a fellow Blade is certainly the main factor for some, regardless of how true the official account of events is.

MEGATHREAD16 pages in four and a half hours; got to be some sort of record?!
Football fandom is mainly theatre and conscious tribalism, so why would any fan want to support Madine? Not sure how getting promoted off the back of it would change that, I'd rather not go up and like my squad.
I'd rather be managed by Wilder and have Billy captain in the Championship then be manged by Megson with Madine captain in the Champions League.
So what is the most reasonable thing to believe with the evidence we have at hand?So was Ched Evans.
I'm not saying it didn't happen, I'm saying what happened seemed a bit odd and it wouldn't surprise me if there was more to it. It also wouldn't surprise me if there wasn't.
If he was still a dickhead Wilder wouldn’t sign him and Warnock wouldn’t have.
People can change you know.
Well this is the thing I'm pointing at. I'm reading more and more Blades flipping their shit cos "Madine spun the jaw of a fellow Blade just cos he was a Blade, Madine hates Blades" - it's far more likely that he's just a bell-end, not an anti-Blades bell-end. Personally, that's where I draw the line. Some of my best mates are bell-ends. Some are anti-Blades bell-ends. I'd support the bell-ends playing for us but not the anti-Blades bell-ends.That won’t be the whole story but this scenario has happened several times that we know about. That says to me he likes a drink a bit too much and has a problem with his temper.
I do wonder how many people holding Madine's conviction against him were championing that Ched should've been able to get on with his life and career after paying his debt to society (prior to him having his conviction overturned)...
We don't just watch them play football though do we, we actively support a team and its players. It's as if you don't remember what it was like to support a team that was completely disconnected to its fans under Adkins etc. But I suppose it doesn't matter that we think Adkins or Hammond were twats, we only go to watch a ball get kicked.I watch them play football for 90 minutes a week! They ain't my mates, why should I really care what they are like off the pitch as long as they aren't breaking the law*? I dare say if I spent a bit of time with the current squad there would no doubt be some players I wouldn't get on with, but it's their football ability that matter most.
* I understand Madine has broken the law, however that was 5 years ago, so if he behaves whilst being an employee of SUFC, that's fine with me.
So what is the most reasonable thing to believe with the evidence we have at hand?
If we had to wait for 100% conclusive evidence for everything we think and feel we'd get nowt done. Wilder might be lying about being a blade, I'll hold off on my support and adulation until I'm sure...
Stearman looked a bit scared to go near him in thst gameAt the end of the day, I trust CW and AK to do the right thing for Sheffield United FC.
If they think he is a reformed character and is what we need to throw on in the last 20 minutes, to knock tired defends around and make gaps, I will go along with it.
If he scores at the rust bucket, I will laugh and applaud.
I won't boo the lad, because I didn't even boo Marlon King, a pathetic excuse for a "man", if ever there was one.
Final point; people talk about him bossing us around when he scored at BDTBL last time, that was when we had Stearman, not the toughest lad in the school yard by a long shot, we have Egan now, would be a very different story in my opinion.
Anyway, if Wilder wants him, and he pulls on our colours, he will get my support, as much as I wished this was not happening.
I saw a stat last week that said we have converted just 3 corners this season.
