The bloke is pond scum and I’ve called him all the names you could muster, but a lot of people are talking about this one and it ain’t going away.
 

Scummy Gaz will probably love the thought of pissing us all off by signing and us not being able to do anything about it.
 
People saying they’ll boo him is ridiculous. Shout ‘wanker’ at him instead when he touches the ball, it’s much more of a succinct insult.

If dividing the fans and your own players getting booed is making us stronger then I would love to know what weakens us. If this signing is true we will be back to feighting on the kop, players losing interest and a slide down the league. This cunt is a cancer and nobody wants cancer.
 
he would massively unpopular if he turned up. he wouldn't be the 1st to booed on debut. ie Leon Clarke. but gary madine washing machine is a coward as proven when he got that "injury" coincidentally few days after them stupid comments towards sharp. who i doubt has forgotten it. i research it & wilder said "It shows a lack of respect criticising any fellow player. it's tough being a professional footballer. When you criticise someone in your family, he's criticising all of us. it's a bit of lack of respect for our football club."

then theres marlon king connections where madine been found guilty of actual bodily harm twice & grievously bodily harm once. then theres small amount of football where after 6m move to Cardiff he has 0 goals in his 18 starts & in last 3 seasons at this level he has score 18 in 83

Washington and Clarke would be above him on the bench. Why would you loan a 5th choice striker?
 
The blokes a spineless cunt and I wouldn't want to see him in a Blades shirt. He is a League 1 clogger at best.

If Wilder signs him then he must be happy to shit on his own doorstep.

I'd expect him to be ahead of at least Washington but the problem there would be removing the pace option from the bench.

It's not like Wilder's played Johnson up front yet either.

Agree but who on here hasn't posted something they later regret? He was disciplined.

I would guess Wilder has sounded out the other players (Sharp in particular) to ensure they were OK with it.
 
Madine is a cancer. He would fit into our club like a bacon sarni in a mosque.

Washington has looked quite dangerous on nearly all his appearances though, apart from Brum, and as you say has pace.

Madine has only a slightly better goalscoring record than Washington but fits in someone else's system and is obviously devisive to put it lightly, and that's before you take in to account Washington is younger, not a bellend, and belongs to us.

A strange one to say the least if it comes off.

Wilder takes players opinions into account before any signing. He will only sign if Sharp and the rest of the players are alright with it, that’s a fact.

Wilder also has a no dickhead rule, if he starts acting a dickhead he will get fucked off, also a fact.

And the tactically inept everything must be on the floor brigade won’t like this but he’s exactly the sort of player we need. Just like Hanson was brought in to be a big fucking target and see us over the line in league one, madine is a championship jimmy Hanson. That’s needed in some games, that’s a fact too.

We also have the highest amount of crosses in the league, and madine is somebody that wins fucking headers.

And no I’m not too happy about this signing from a moral point of view but I think it will work so fuck everything else.
 
He's just what we need, big lump to throw on in last 20 mins if nothing else is working. I know he's a twat but he's a completely different option to anyone we currently have. If Wilder thought for one minute he would create a problem in team spirit, it wouldn't happen.

I also know someone (a Blades fan) who knew him fairly well and attended BDTBL with him on a few occasions when he played for them lot, paying to get in and sitting in John Street. I'd 100% prefer us not to sign him, the last thing we need is someone this devisive but from what I heard I don't believe he dislikes us just because he has played for them.

Personaly I wouldn’t let Madine drive me away from my club. But I would not criticise anyone staying away on principle if he signed.

What other good team does that ? Why is it something that United fans seem to want ?

Our playing style won't work every single game, but as long as it works most games it's fine. The way to improve is by getting players who will be better at playing the style that we have chosen to play, not bring in something totally alien to what we are trying to do

Like the sophisticated, intricate moving of the ball in the classic Klopp style Liverpool used for the last 10 minutes tonight?
 
But.......he's....................not very good. In fact..........err......................a teeny weeny bit crap. In 18 appearances for Cardiff, theoretically surrounded by better players no goals from a striker in the league. Four in friendlies. No assists. Warnock won't play him. No pace. All we will be loaning is someone more prone to giving fouls away in the area rather than scoring or providing an assist. What's the point? Really what what what is the point.

It was still a 'different option bollocks' employed by Klopp, with a CB as a focal point.

Frank Lampard's Derby County do it with Nugget and that doesn't work either most of the time.

It doesn't make sense so I'm hoping for a bit of occam's razor since the simplest theory is this entire thing is bollocks..

I think Leon is more than suitable for playing hoof, with the advantage of he's actually quite good anyway and can score the other kinds of goals.

I'm with you really, balls into the six yard box will always have a higher success rate than hit and hope for my money, keep plugging away and we usually break teams eventually.

I didn't agree with Hanson in L1, but he was an insurance against certain teams - perhaps, and it's only a guess - Madine is an uprated hanson in the eyes of CW. To be fair to Hanson he played a small part. We'd have won the league anyway that season without hanson - this season it will be much more closely fought right to the end.

For me I am playing devils advocate - just trying to see logic through the madness - it doesn't mean I agree - just tying to see the end game - which is a massive (no pun honest!) prize .
