"Green in the morning, its going green in the morning..."

:D:rolleyes:

Don't we need to see something concrete before pacifiers are projected from perambulators? :)

Personally can't see a problem with anyone pulling on the mighty stripes.

If it comes true then I will give him a chance.

WHAT WE DON'T NEED IS THE CROWD MAKING IT A TOXIC ATMOSPHERE - remember a few years back Blades.

Wilder would have sounded it out with the players and obviously Billy before making any move.

The players are professionals and will give him a chance - let's do the same.

He will be plan C and I'm not sure many opposition defenders cab beat him in the air - we need to feed off the knock downs.

UTMB

I've already seen people on Facebook say they will boo him if he plays for us. I agree with your sentiments but people will undoubtedly be giving him grief.

Just seen that Richard Cadette has confirmed it so it must be legit.

Let's see what Madine can do - he will know what to expect from the crowd so it's up to him to turn them around.

Welcome Gary Madine - now prove yourself worthy like several other ex pig players have already done :)

Who the f is Richard Cadette

I’m praying this is all just a ploy so that we’re all delighted when we don’t sign a striker at all.
If not, this is absolute suicide by the club. The atmosphere at the Lane will turn very toxic towards that prick.

Surely the fact he’s shite can have something to do with it Sitters?
Be an upgrade on the Leon Clarke who has played this season. Don't agree that he's shite. If anyone else was available who could do the same job wilder would get him I'm sure.

Isn't Zahore out injured for a month?

If the Washing Machine does end up joining he'll get my support. He's effective, proven in the Champ and offers a physical presence the other strikers don't possess.

Exactly!

We are missing that Brute that can flick on and knock down crosses. He will be a real presence at corners and free kicks into the box - something that we are crying out for.

Just to add that I think he will only be an impact player to come on and change the dynamics of a game.

If my memory serves me correctly, he’s got criminal convictions for breaking the facial bones of two United fans, for no other reason that they were united fans? Fuck me, the thought of signing him shouldn’t be crossing CW’s mind. We need a character reference? Ask the CPS.

It was actually a pig fan who’s face he smashed in.

I suppose that’s where opinions can differ, I don’t think he’s good enough for us, if he comes we’ll start to play more long balls and we look shit when we play this way.

Leon hasn’t played well at all this season but it only takes a goal to rediscover a bit of form. Leon is better on the floor than Madine so he’ll always get my vote on that one anyway.

What job is it that Madine does anyway, other than trying to wrestle with defenders and win free kicks? Honestly, I think he’s awful at football and has pinched a living.

One Pig, one Blade each within a couple of weeks I think.

Prior to that he jumped behind a bar in Carlisle and knocked out a guy in his 50s who had refused to serve him more booze after last orders. Think he did time for that one.

Wish we'd stop signing people who've been in prison when we're riding high.

We signed Ched about 12 seconds after we won the league and the stories just went to him.

I'd rather stick with what we've got or get some youngster from Watford's academy to be honest but if he comes he's our player so I won't be booing.

Look on the bright side, if he went somewhere else in the championship he'd only score against us.

Madine's trial had heard he punched Mr Beresford, a Sheffield Wednesday fan, knocking him unconscious and breaking his nose.

  • Born 24 August, 1990
  • Signed for Carlisle United in 2007
  • Loaned to Rochdale, Coventry City and Chesterfield
  • Signed for Sheffield Wednesday in January 2011 for an undisclosed fee
  • In the 2012-13 season he made 35 appearances for the Owls scoring four goals
  • He has made two substitute appearances this season
Mr Beresford said Madine, who joined the Owls from Carlisle United and is originally from Gateshead, had been staring at him in the bar and, when he had asked why, the player lashed out.

The victim had told the jury: "He was one of my favourite players, someone I looked up to."

The court was told Mr Hall, a Sheffield United fan, was left with a broken jaw and a fractured cheek after Madine asked him who he supported.

Bricklayer Mr Hall, who did not recognise the Wednesday striker, replied "United", and moments later he was punched in the eye.

He suffered a broken jaw and his cheek was fractured in five places.

In both cases Madine was cleared of more serious charges - counts of causing grievous bodily harm against Mr Beresford, whom he said he hit in self-defence, and of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Mr Hall.

The trouble with threads like this is that I find hard to believe its true so I shouldn't bother reading it, ignore it, it's not worth the time, but I can't for some reason, let's hope in the morning Wilder dismisses it and laughs it off
