More Hope for Hendo Staying?

Ha ha...very true.

Budgie was an unbelievable character, non stop in game and out of game talking.
I remember his pre game warm ups walking on his hands and doing chin ups on the cross bar.

He was also famous for doing gymnastics whilst making a save.
He had this skill of making easy-ish saves look spectacular with his mid air gymnastic twist/ turns and body rolls.
I also think I remember reading somewhere that his missus also said he wore his goalkeeping gloves to watch Match Of The Day....

Bert read his book. When he was playing for Hibs he still lived in Newcastle so he went on the train to Edinburgh. He used to catch a taxi from the station to get to training on time but very often there weren't any taxis so he had a bright idea. He bought a moped and kept it and the helmet chained up at the station.
All went well until one day when the train was late so he shot out of the station, stuck on his helmet and rode off..... and then he realised that somebody, probably a Hearts fan, had had a shit in the helmet.

As much as I love Hendo, I think him staying here, either on a further loan or permanently depends on us getting promotion.

If we don't go up, I dont think he will be here next season. He will play in the Premier League.

He is average, he's not a Premier League player or an international

Good player at Championship level = Average

If you want to measure him against everybody on the planet who once kicked a football for the dog and fuck well then he's a magnificent player

We've had this discussion before, let it go, you sound like a fucking woman

Jeremy, is that you? #stupidwoman

It’s a very good achievement and I love Billy for what he has done for United, but it sounds like the bullshit Sky come up with when talking about records. It’s always Premier League record this and Premier League record that.

Football didn’t start in 1992 and neither did it start in 2000!

No but this century started in 2000 and that is what they are talking about.

Anyone for Blackman???
Can't see him ever making it into Chelskis starting 11, and even though I'd love Hendo to stay, were still in need of a keeper if he doesn't!

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I nearly choked to death on a strawberry cream Quality Street laughing at that!!!
That'd be an undignified obituary....

He said that as he was late and there's was nothing he could do he had to carry on to the training ground with the turd stuck on his head...

Bert also laughed a lot when he read it.

I'm not sure what this says about this forum and its users, whether it's good or bad, but I find it fascinating how a thread that starts with hope for a football loanee extending his stay ends up with a bloke riding a bike with a turd stuck on his head.

Pah. There was a thread the other day with a poster wanting to fight racists and xenophobes over Brexit.

Only on the internet though.........

Yes, I have to apologise for getting that thread closed by criticising the Angel of The North. I didn't realise Foxy was so sensitive about modern art.:)

Big choices to make if there's any substance to this...Screenshot_20190206-145842_Chrome.jpg

It’s probably only paper talk and no real substance.

Doesn’t really effect us though, unless we gain promotion.

Then the decision might be if Hendo’s agent says he can get 80K elsewhere
Do we try to match it or not bother, instead go for a top Championship manager for less than half salary.
Surely the Stoke keeper is better than Hendo and should end up being much cheaper if those clubs get involved in an auction.

Still think Hendo would accept less money if it meant being the 1st choice at SU in the PL compared to getting massive wages whilst sat on the bench at Spurs, Bayern or Juve.

He’s a bit mental, he’s not totally insane. No one in their right mind turns down a champions league side.

HITC is bollocks but as I repeatedly say, Tottenham are looking at everyone.

Going abroad is going to be fashionable now after Sancho, but he'd probably be on loan.

He wants to be number 1 at Man U and is good enough to be in after a bit of PL experience, hopefully that's with us.

If he's not at least on the bench at Man U by the season after next, that's when he'll leave them I think.

Bayern and a few other clubs are realising that there’s an awful lot of good, young English kids languishing in the reserves/u23s of the big clubs. They’re not afraid to buy/borrow them and give em a start.

Perhaps that might be a way forward for us, if we went up.

I think a PL club can only loan two players from other PL clubs. Warnock was moaning about it a few weeks ago.

I think we're all agreed that he won't stay with us if we don't go up. This leaves us with promotion to the Premiership which means United will need to be paying him £50k pw to stay, plus a fee of about £15m. The chances of United doling this out for a GK are zero.

That aren’t even thinking about selling him as things stand. As I’ve pointed out before.
