I thought Stewart played quite well on Saturday but he got the lowest rating of all our players in the Sunday Mirror. What did everyone else think?

He wasn't amazing but he wasn't terrible, run of the mill full back.

Although he was about a trillion times better than that useless twat taylor.

Agree you Jaffo.

Wasn't spectacular but did his job well, offered a lot more coming forward and his pace is a big bonus.

Couldn't really be worse than Taylor in his last game.

I hope it gives taylor a kick up the arse and he ups his game (a lot) to try and win back his place.

He gives us a nice balance within the squad as he's a left back who can run but can't play to go with the 2 who can play but can't run.

True but I don't think Taylor's got it in him to up his game to the level we expect and require which is why he wasn't getting in Tranmere's team when we "poached" him. The main difference is pace. Stewart can make all the mistakes Taylor makes but he has the pace and strength to recover.

Stewart is a Championship journeyman that couldn't get a game with Derby
I agree he is slightly better than Taylor neither of them are as good as Armstrong and none of them are in Naysmiths class

I meant to add that bit.

Stewart is better than taylor for now - but I don'y fancy a full season with either of them.

Hurry up back Naysmith.

His main fault was his distribution.

I've not seen any stats but my impression was that was unable to find a red and white shirt by any method - he constantly threw the ball to the opposition as well as numerous mis-placed passes.

Not good enough - with a fit squad. Would rather have seen Bromby in a back four irrespective of which foot he prefers to kick with.
