There'll doubtless be a few looking at him but at still only 24 we'd be looking at £10M plus in this day and age of stupid fees.

It would be interesting to see how he would cope being back in a flat back 4 as this system certainly helps him and others IMO. Hopefully we won't find out for a while...............

JOC and Fleck will be off in the summer if we don’t go up I think that’s a given, and to be fair to the club we have got a promotion and two decent seasons out of them at this level.

I hope we get the appropriate price for them is all.

JOC is an absolute beast and not a bad footballer to go with it. Add his age into the mix and it's a no brainer that PL clubs will come calling. He has years to adapt at that level, just like Harry did.

I have to say though, right now I think Basham is our best defender. If he was 5 years younger the vultures around BL would block out the sun.

Sadly I don’t think Bash is quite physical enough for a step up. For a fella that size he doesn’t stand his weight particularly well - or as they say round some parts he’s a ‘streak of piss’. I rate Bash but I think this is the top of his level.

JOC on the other hand has everything needed to play in the Premier. Be amazed if he stays beyond this season if we don’t go up...

JOC and Fleck are great players ,but we actually have better players than both of them at the club ,they wont be going anywhere.

I know we conceded quite often but that's due to our style. The back 4 (3 and Deano) that Wilder has brought together are outstanding and have a bit of everything.
I probably couldn't even tell you which player is our most important at the back anymore.

I'm not overly confident we will keep JOC and although I'd trust Wilder to replace him it would be a massive ask. More than anything it would really disrupt our unity and understanding at the back.

Either way, I wouldn't be accepting anything less than £7million for him. Especially in a January window.

Unfortunately JOC will probably be subject to bids possibly in Jan and definitely in the summer
if we don't go up i can see him leaving unfortunately , BUT in this day of stupid money we should be getting at least 8-10 mill for him at his age and his performances

Fleck I am not so sure , personally think Fleck is having a ok but not great season so far ( compared with the excellent standards he has set ) which is encouraging as we know he can and will no doubt improve his form and that will be a nice bonus to have !

That's partly what I was getting at with regards to age mate. Bash would be 32-33 by the time he adjusted physically, if he did at all. He would never be a powerhouse as such, but there are a plenty of CBs at that level who aren't built like shithouses and still cope quite well. I think his versatility would also make him an attractive purchase if a few years younger.

Agree on everything re JOC. He won't be with us next season if we don't go up and he will [or at least should] command a big fee.

Controversial opinion, but I don't even think Jack is at his magic best recently. Certainly in terms of his marauding, attacking play. He seems much more reserved and playing less killer balls in and around the box.

Defensively, he's as sound as ever but it's noticeable that Bash bombs forward far, far more. Even Egan, who I'd rather sit back as Jack is much better going forward.

Moving to CWAK's new club ?

CW and AK will still be here.

Bizarrely we would struggle more to hold on to CW if we did go up, he’d have proved himself completely then.

Didn’t we turn down more than that from Brighton at the start of this season?

A lot more. As I understand it, it was a genuine bid as well, not just rumour mill stuff.
I'd be suprised.
Only because I can't see us turning that kind of money down.
I do think there was a decent bid, I still think he would have liked to have gone (I'm not basing that on anything) and I personally think we've kept him by saying "give us one more season, if we don't go up we will listen to premiership offers."

No way of knowing for sure although I trust the person who told me.

I agree that this is likely to be his last season with us if we don't go up though.

£2m?!!!

Nice pic of Enda Stevens too.
Yeah, I stopped reading as soon as I saw Stevens' pictures pop up.

If you're gonna run an article about a player only to not even brother checking if the picture you put up even has the player in it then im gonna hazard a guess that you aren't a very good journalist.
