Very disappointing result. Didn’t deserve to lose. But it’s not a disaster and we don’t need to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

A lot can change in a few games. We’re still a top side at this level and we’re not on the slide, even though it may feel like it. If we’d turned those chances into goals today we’d have been top (for a few hours admittedly) and the mood on here would be very different.

Time to keep a sense of perspective I think. We’re a few players short of being THE outstanding team at this level but we’re doing very well all considering.

If we can add a couple of quality players in Jan we can have a very good end to the season.

Let me think last 6 P6 W2 D2 L2 F9 A8 Pts 8. Not scored in three of those games. Lost to two promotion contenders. Over a season that's about 12th. I'd say that's mid table inconsistency pal.

In over 50 years of following the Blades seen many seasons like this.

We are what we are.

A very good team to watch, hardworking, free flowing, occasionally unplayable, often out-shithoused, with the odd dodgy moment in defence.

I wish we could be more clinical, I wish that we didn't have to work so bloody hard for every goal and/or stroke of luck, where as other teams don't have to. I wish the ownership BS would just sort itself and Wilder could be given 'x' millions to sign the 2 players who would guarantee us automatic promotion etc etc. I also wish I was 2 stone lighter and my todger was a bit longer and slightly thicker, but such is life.

Honestly lads, compared to some of the bland, underwhelming mounds of testees that I witnessed at BL in the years before Wilder and Knill dragged us out of the filth, this football is in a different orbit. To coin a phrase, Rome wasn't built in a day and we are gradually becoming quite the team in this league. When Bielsa dishes out very particular levels of praise, you know you are onto something. He said something to Wilder at FT today that looked like 'we didn't deserve that', not sure what it was but he looked very humble and almost apologetic.

Onto Reading.

We need what we have needed for some time:

Duffy rival, arguably replacement as time goes on.
Partner for Sharp
Replacement for Sharp.

I think we could have got Marriot as the latter which may have even filled in the role of partner for some time and Maddison as well. Can't believe he is still at Peterborough. Surely not much higher than top 6 Championship team will come for him. Given the way we play, and that he can also play LWB as well as AM, he'd seem ideal.

Think you are spot on Cerberus !! Wilder will know what's needed, just hope the owners back him.He will have players in mind .The season probably hinges on bringing that extra bit in ,are you listening owners ?
Not expecting big money as that would skew our wage structure but Wilder now does need to bring in a bit of quality to add too what we have

True. That performance and result against Brentford midweek must have really pissed you off!
