That first comment might be the maddest one of the season. Big deflection for Norwood's goal? Presumably a deflection off Norwood's own foot into the top corner?

Also they should probably be concerned if a team with "surprisingly little punch up top" could have scored 5-6 against them pretty easily...

On top of that were are similar to 'Boro apparently, & the usual "Sheffield" thrown in there, & Norwoods goal was a lucky deflection, did they go to the game?
Thanks Roy.

According to sky we had 18 shots, just 5 on target. So that would also be worrying for them. Some that missed the target, Leon’s header for example was such a clear and free header that its almost criminal that he missed the target!

We also had just 34% possession, yet I thought we absolutely dominated them when we had the ball

cheers Roy
the first comment is a belter
yep Norwoods goal was very lucky and deflected -it was heading for the corner flag before the cold air intervened and luckily bent into the net !
and no chances before Clarke's winner !?! except Goldies chance straight from the restart and Clarke's header and poss a few more that i cant think of right now

Mate it staggers me how many people who claim to like football know so little about it lol.

Yer telling me. I was sat with a pal (Blade) last night who doesn't tend to watch the games as he's usually working. His lack of knowledge about his own team was staggering. I almost told him to shut up because he was talking such bollocks.

Agree with their poster about Ryan Woods. Them losing Woods is like us losing Coutts last season. They still try to play the same way but without that playmaker they seriously lack impetous.

Still a great 3 points last night. That first poster is a star. Thinks he's deadbat but has the factual accuracy of a local hack.

Never liked Brentford’s fans since they thought they became the Barcelona of the Football League. Weird, false sense of arrogance.

Remember our first game back in the league last season when their fans were giving it the big un on Twitter expecting a 3/4-0 win. They were also pissing themselves that we’d signed Egan, one of the best players on the pitch last night.

And call O'Connell a donkey.

The poster that claims they could do with an Egan, despite him not being able to play 'their style'.

Just looking at the stats, it kind of backs up what you're saying. We actually shaded the territory 51.4% to 48.6% (ie, the ball spent more time in their half than ours) - just shows how all their possession was in completely non-dangerous areas.

We attempted more passes inside their box than they did in ours. They also played 291 passes square or backwards compared to our 133, and 123 passes in their own defensive third compared to our 44. We just used the ball so much better than them and I felt like we were pretty happy with them knocking it about inside their own half while we were ahead.
