Washington has looked complete gash, looking back at his time at QPR and I could not find one positive review of him from their fans.
You might be right and as I've said elsewhere, he might end up in the Holmes, Leonard catagory but he's a bit different to what we have and if he can find his pre-QPR form, exactly what we've been missing lately. As I've also said though, we don't see him day in day out and the fact he's had little chance probably answers the question.

Saw most of the 2nd Half of their game v Boro, and they were unlucky not to get a result, and I don't think they are far off turning things around after losing Dean Smith...hopefully not tonight though.
Still fancy us to get a result...Listening to Chris,I wouldn't be surprised to see Coutts starting...love Freeman, but not been at his best,so I think we could see Baldock for this one and I think Leon will get a start.
I wouldn't mind seeing one or more of the likes of Washington,Johnson and Woodburn given a chance at some point,as it would be good to see more pace, and give us more threat in behind or on the break.
Need to get back on track with a win after only one win in 6. ..a draw would be decent to be fair...UTMFB!

Sorry to gate crash this thread but currently on train to Euston, get in at 1pm. Don’t particularly want to go straight to Brentford that early but also can’t be arsed to go in and back out of central London.

Can anyone suggest somewhere reasonably pleasant for a few drinks either on the way to Brentford or nearby?

Essentially you've got ripe pickings of places as its under an hour on tube from Euston to Brentford and you've got hours of time. Just be sensible, don't drink too much and forget you've got to be in Brentford for 7/7:30.

Baldock for Freeman

Coutts for Norwood

Clarke for Mcgoldrick.

I can’t think what else we can change, and I’d mainly make the second two changes only to rest players with another early kick off looming Saturday.

Think those are the sensible options za. Fleck always played much better alongside Coutts, it gave him more scope to get forward, same applies to Duffy, so we enhanced our forward alternatives to a generally high level. Not suggesting that Coutts mk2 is close to Coutts mk1 but it might be that Wilder has still to find a way to fit Coutts and Norwood in the same team. I'd imagine that the team for tonight will well primed and ready to make a point.

Egan was our best defender by about a million miles on Saturday.
Don't get me wrong, I was just allowing him a rest, especially after his injury scare on international duty.
Couldn't agree more that he was the better of the 3, no doubt about it.
Was also thinking about our last performance with Stearman starting, a pretty convincing win.

Washington has everything to prove so think he will get a start tonight. Wilder has name dropped him in his last 2 interviews so can see him coming in for Diddsy. Hope he does well, we need as much competition for places up top as we can get. Can't rely on Billy all the time and Diddsy is having a quiet spell.

There is no tube to Brentford.

Washington has done nothing to merit a start - I know he's not exactly had the opportunities, but when he has been on he's literally just ran around. Matt Done did that.

Coutts is not match fit and has been mostly anonymous when he has played.

Clarke has no confidence and McG is one of our important link up players.

Freeman has been gash for a month, so out for Baldock, that is all.

How can Washington merit a start whilst he’s sat on the bench please what should he do

Yes, he's got his contract now.....and relax, where have we seen that before....

Ah, Wilder's gone to Brentford all terrified again.

And Baldock must have an injury. It's the only way Freeman could have continued getting picked recently, not just tonight.

Norwood’s punishment for his worst performance yet..... captain next game

Unbelievable. Duffy is our best outfield player and Sharp our main goal threat. What is CW thinking?

Unless they’re absolutely knackered or carrying knocks, both should be starting this evening. I’m also amazed Freeman has retained his place, and that’s despite me rating him more highly than Baldock. Neither the players I’d have removed nor the players I’d have brought in – I’ll be delighted to have that view thrown back in my face though.
