So after Saturday's disappointing performance and result to some degree it's back on the road with the visit to Brentford. And after their result on Saturday they'll likely be looking to get back on track with a positive result. Although it seems our record against them is pretty good, I expect a very difficult game tonight. On the plus side surely we can't be as bad as Saturday....

But anyway...

Any team news?

Unchanged?

Wilder hinted at changes?

Surely the forward line is NOT where start?

It remains still extremely tight at the top, and throughout the division to some extent. A good result tonight could really give us a lift.... But very tough. I'm going 1-1 but hopefully get a bit of luck and scrape home with 3 points...

Safe journey all

UTB

Worried about tonight to be fair. Brentford underperforming, us being pretty garbage away from home for a month. Not a great recipe.

Hopefully there's a reaction from the weekend

We'll lose tonight and we'll lose on Saturday.

That's the spirit! :)

I think we'll win tonight, draw on Saturday. 2 points from 2 derbies will have CW kicking them up the arse.

I'd like to see Baldock start too, Freeman needs to get his spark back and could do with a rest.

Tufty generally gives the players a chance after an under par effort but to be fair to the squad, he has to give others a chance at some point, particularly given that we've won 1 in 6, even though some of the performances have warranted more. Add to that we've got another tough game on Saturday but he'll also be wary of making too many changes after the last time he did it.

If it was me I'd bring in Baldock for Freeman given he was way below on Saturday and was away on International duty. Coutts for Olly given he's pretty much played straight through since he arrived and Leon for McGoldy. Although we obviously haven't seen him day in day out to judge whether he warrants it, I'd also like to see Washington get a start for Billy.

Brentford will have plenty of the ball

And teams that have the ball for seven seconds out of the entire 90 minutes usually score against us

So I'm going for our worst defeat of the season

Anything other than defeat will be good enough for me

Stephen Martin is the Ref,he did our 1-0 win over them 1st game back in Championship.Keith Stroud is the 4th official thank fuck he is not the referee, cant stand the twat.

1-0 either way then, although i think it will be more.

I would swap Baldock for Freeman and leave it at that,

What else can we do to really improve the side that started on Saturday? Coutts isn’t ready, Leon and Washington are not as good as Sharp and McG and There is no direct replacement for Fleck and Duffy..

A draw would be a very good result tonight.

Shiny happy people and all that.

We don't often play shit 2 games running so I am hoping for a response tonight. I did say this 3 games ago though and the response was to dominate possession and not do much else with it against the pigs, so I hope the response is bit better this time.

Baldock for Freeman

Coutts for Norwood

Clarke for Mcgoldrick.

I can’t think what else we can change, and I’d mainly make the second two changes only to rest players with another early kick off looming Saturday.

Have you still got a direct line to the Samaritans.

We are going to need to score tonight, and by that I mean scoring 2 might still only get us a draw.

Norwood doesn't need resting as he barely breaks a sweat. He needs a bollocking. There's more chance of me starting then Coutts.

Brentford are shit this season and are on a par with the pigs. Hopefully this will be enough to prevent the seasonal outbreak of Brentforditis, the symptoms of which include cap doffing on a grand scale towards them. 2-0 to us. Nah sorry, 2-1, we always let one in.

Sentiment aside, we've won 1 in 6 and he's scored in 1 in 6 (albeit hat-trick). He's not going to score out of nothing, Washington is a different type of player so why not, as I say, without seeing what Tufty does day in day out. My only concern is that he's not even brought him on recently when we've been struggling so it might just be that he doesn't rate him.

Washington has done nothing to merit a start - I know he's not exactly had the opportunities, but when he has been on he's literally just ran around. Matt Done did that.

Coutts is not match fit and has been mostly anonymous when he has played.

Clarke has no confidence and McG is one of our important link up players.

Freeman has been gash for a month, so out for Baldock, that is all.

How are Washington and Coutts supposed to get fit ? What's the point in having this great squad of players if we just stand by the players who aren't performing ?

I get what you're saying, but we can't be throwing players in just to give them fitness. It's like throwing young players in to give them experience. We're not in a position to be doing that, we're challenging for top 6 and need the fittest/freshest squad available.

If players are carrying knocks, then fair play, but otherwise, we have to go with the strongest side.

Given our training style, the likelihood is that Washington and Coutts are just as fit, if not fitter than Olly and Billy, certainly fresher. Game time is a different matter but it's a risk worth taking IMO, there's still substitutions :)

Sorry to gate crash this thread but currently on train to Euston, get in at 1pm. Don’t particularly want to go straight to Brentford that early but also can’t be arsed to go in and back out of central London.

Can anyone suggest somewhere reasonably pleasant for a few drinks either on the way to Brentford or nearby?

But in their cameos done nothing to justify inclusion.

Think Coutts started vs Forest and had zero influence.

I'd play Washington for Mcgoldrick, Baldock for Freeman, Coutts for Norwood and Stearman for Egan, can't be any worse than that shambles v Rovrum.

Washington has looked complete gash, looking back at his time at QPR and I could not find one positive review of him from their fans.
