He looked a right player when at the Lane, one who had the potential to go far.
But I always remember that when United tried to speak to him he was already “halfway over the Pennines’
To become a top player and realise potential there’s a bit more to it than taking the first quick quid that comes your way.
I reckon he’s learnt that the hard way.

I remember someone on BM posting when he left for Blackburn that he’d be playing parks football in a couple of years. He wasn’t far wrong.Maybe he wasn’t actually that good?
Had he stayed at United I very much doubt he would be playing any higher that he currently is. You don’t end up in the in Isthmian South Central Division if you have something about you.
At least his mum got a nice house out of his very limited football ability!
