You'd think we didn't have a striker that's 2nd in the goalscoring charts...

Matt Smith at QPR.
If we're dipping into league one I think Marquis or Eaves would be as good and in the case of Eaves much cheaper as he's out of contract at the end of the yearI'd personally go for Keiffer Moore if he's fit.
And 2 in 50 for Huddersfield. You're talking about 'Colin Quaner', posters on here are talking about 'Collin Quaner'. Big unit, scored 10 in 30 for Union Berlin.![]()
Defoe is like Billy but four years older. I’m not convinced he’d add much we haven’t got.We are one top class striker from promotion. Clarke is now past his best, McGoldrick has all the tools in his locker apart from goals and Sharp is playing better than ever but he's 32 and can't play all the time.
If we sign someone genuinely quality, we'll go up.
Lot of unrealistic shouts above, lot's who won't actually do anything for us.
Sam Gallagher would be fantastic in my view but he's not quite what I'd call proven.
Defoe would be superb in our style. Crouch could very much do a job. Madine, Zahore, Okazaki, Solanke all would improve us too.
It was a calculated/logical/ wise risk.
Cardiff were up near the top playing a long ball style. Warnock was concerned about injuries so knew it was wise to buy some insurance for his strike force. He needed a limited/ cheap but physical long ball striker. Thought they could get Madine on the cheap as he was valued at 3 million.
The problem was Bolton couldn’t afford to sell their main striker as it would mean certain relegation.
Hence the transfer fee increased to a rediculous 8 million for a player worth 3 million max.
However the waste of 5 million didn’t matter as they were promoted anyway.
What strikers are not getting a game at Premier League clubs? Wages schmages, if it all goes to plan every cunt will get a massive pay increase at the end of the season, and if it doesn't, the striker will go back to his club anyway.
Colin Quaner
Conor Wickham
aNdY cArRoLl
Some academy fucker
I'd take any of the above, although they're not quite Mitrovicish. Where do we pluck a reight good striker from?

Most of them are past their sell by date.We are one top class striker from promotion. Clarke is now past his best, McGoldrick has all the tools in his locker apart from goals and Sharp is playing better than ever but he's 32 and can't play all the time.

Course they are past their sell by date but unfortunately we can’t afford or won’t pay for a player in their peak. A league one striker isn’t going to get us over that line. Most of them are past their sell by date.
Kiefer Moore or similar

No way Janssen will drop to the championship but it’s a nice thoughtThen we send Woodburn back, release Washington & Johnson from their contracts, phase Clarke out and go again. Get Vincent Janssen in from Spurs on loan (he will score goals at this level) as the starter and either Nketiah or Aaron Connolly on loan as the last 15/20 minutes bench option.
