In recent decades we’ve always been about 3 or 4 wins ahead in the head to head

But last season it was reported on Sky and in the media, that the head to head was identical with both winning 48 matches each. It later transported that the 48 wins each included inter war matches which don’t count as competitive games.

Wikipedia shows that the current head to head using competitive matches is
Played 129 SU won 46 SW won 42 with 42 draws, United scored 179 and Wednesday scored 170.
So we are still historically 4 wins in front.

So how the Sheffield Star did a report yesterday and I quote the first paragraph

‘Bragging rights in the Steel City derby could be worth even more this year as both Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday are in with a chance of reaching 50 derby wins. A win for Wednesday would see them level up the all time head-to-head record, as they currently have 48 wins to United’s 49 “

What hope is there when our local paper can’t even get their facts right?

It seems the media might be getting their false stats from the 11v11.com statistics site, that site has included the Wharncliffe charity cup and the inter 1st world war Principle tournament as official competitive games. What next? County cup matches and testimonials?

Thats where they are getting their stats from to suit the Pigs Agenda. In the past Pigs have even tried to change wiki. No-one counts war years competitions only the Pigs. May as well count the County Cup as well. That puts them in front of us.

Its 46 v 42 in our favour nothing can change that.

How is that even remotely possible. Forget the facts, it's impossible. How can both teams get to 50 points yet one be able to draw level with the other.

I assume it means they can get to 50 wins this season i.e. if they win both Derby games.

On that copa90 video on YouTube last year even one of our own said it was evens on wins.

I was like... Wtf really. Even one of our own has believed the lies.

We've been ahead for my entire life.

I've been around for 63 years and we have always been in front of the pigs on derby wins. Seems in the last year or so we have had a pig propaganda campaign to try to even things up, don't believe it folks it is as Donald Trumps says FAKE NEWS
ps the last time the pigs were in front was back in 1951

My current score is 48-42 in our favour.
No team has been more than 7 wins in front, hopefully that statistic will change this season.

IMHO the only matches that count are league, league cup and FA cup.

To date in the league the record stands at 43 United wins, 37 draws, 36 Wednesday wins.

In the league cup it is nil United wins, 1 draw, 2 Wednesday wins (one coming in extra time).

In the FA cup it is 3 United wins, 3 draws, 3 Wednesday wins (one coming in extra time).

Therefore, the overall record at the moment stands at 46 United wins, 41 draws, 41 Wednesday wins.

Accurate, definitive and truthful. It'll never catch on.

Made me laugh that .... Danny would confirm that’s not how it works, the media look to create/ manipulate stories to make them more interesting. If there’s no news, then create it.

It’s more news worthy making it appear that we’re dead level regards the overall head to head.
Makes the next match seem more important, as though it’s a historical decider.
