Great picture, despite the result.

Silent - do you know why we wore white in this game? Didn't use to wear away kits much back then. Especially against the pigs.
My guess is that the ref wasnt happy with the red and white stripes we were going to play in. Looking at the photos, it seems rare that we wore away kits when playing at S6. The only other occasion I can think of is the 3-1 win in March 1992

With thanks to Silent Blade in a post earlier this year:

My first-ever Sheffield derby on Saturday Feb. 4 1967. I was stood on the John Street terrace with a (typically-gobby) Wednesdayite from school. Bill Punton scored the only goal of the game.

The steward 4-2 nately intervened. Lucky for Carlos, who knows what could have happened.

Could that be the same attention-seeking slag who was stood near Chancer last Saturday?

Eh? United v Derby??? You haven't got the hang of these threads have you Roygbiv? :D

Does seem strange as like you say, it's normally red v blue. These days, we ultimately change our shorts/socks only. Be interesting what happens this season at Hillsborough as, so far this season, every away game we've played, we've used our away kit - wonder if that's down to sponsors?
