Thinking about it a lot but not nervous. Come Friday that could change.

Not yet but sure I will be the closer it gets.

First time in a long time we have been clear favorites to win, think back over the last 25 plus years worth of derbies to 1991-92 and that lot have pretty much always been favorites but we have held our own winning 8 drawing 10 and losing 6 and they have only beaten us once at BDTBL in that time, in fact they have only won 4 times at the Lane in the last 100 years in the league!

I much prefer being the under-dog in derbies but it is what it is....the difference is Chris Wilder!

Everybody expects us to win and everybody expects them to lose.

We've got nothing to gain and everything to lose.

I think 3/1 odds for the draw is very good value.

Fuck 'em, let the pigs worry.

Have a little backbone fellow Blades, it's not as if we played badly on Saturday, and Wilder will have a full strength team to select a side from.

Backbone? Shuddup soft lad.

Of course, I feel sick the moment the derby becomes our next game. They are completely shitting it and from their point of view I can see why, they are playing horrifically and concede almost 3 goals a game and we are 3rd.

But If you really look at us, we haven't played well for a while. Yes we have been winning but I've only seen one performance at home that I can remember that we properly dominated and deserved to win and that was the Villa game. Anything can happen.

This is their last roll of the dice for Jos, if he can't get them up for this, he's got to be on his way, having said that I suspect Chris & Billy will be totally professional in their reminding any of the newer players the importance of winning.

Reckon they will put a defensive 5 in and hope the ball drops to Reach at some point, we need to make sure there is someone on him at all times

Might sound daft, but I would have preferred them to get a result, just a draw, against Norwich. Now they need a reaction, might not be the manager getting sacked, but you would think they might make changes, different keeper perhaps. It's unlikely they will get tonked again.

However, if we turn up, it could be embarrassing for them.

Can I vote D, Fucking bricking myself!.??

Nah not really, having a bet against us to soften the blow if it happens.

Dav, no idea how many posts you've looked at that suggest we're falling apart, but since the Forest game there's been a complete, and unnecessary, over-reaction from some predictable quarters. We didn't play badly, what we lacked was that spark of creativity that could unhinge the Forest defence. By this Friday we should have a full strength team from which to select a first eleven good enough to beat the pigs.

Telling me to shuddup doesn't gloss over the pointlessness of the criticism directed at the team. Yes, we lacked a cutting edge, but played poorly? No fucking way.

I absolutely hate them.
I would take a a guaranteed draw every time which is ridiculous considering the circumstances but losing is too big of a risk to take.

5 defeats on the trot-ters for a team that was top 6 a few games ago seems a bit extreme to me - so, yes, I'm nervous. Let's face it, a draw would have them scoffing at us yet again...... we all know how elated they can get when they manage a point in any game these days.

Some nerves, yes, but excitement as well. The thought of losing makes you sick and the thought of winning makes you want it to come around quicker.

Having said that, I know what I'm like during these games and when the first whistle blows I find them immensely difficult to enjoy.

Agree massively with the 'banana skin' comment, but can Sparks get them up for it after a heavy defeat and losing that many in a row? First goal absolutely vital. Get one in the first fifteen minutes and I could see it being a very, very long night for them.

I wasn't even aware that it was possible NOT to be nervous before a derby. Now envious of those who are clearly made of stronger stuff than me.

To those referencing their recent results, there is literally no composition of results that would make me feel less nervous. Lost five on the bounce? They've bottomed out. Won five in a row? They'll smash us. Won one, lost one, won one, lost one? Well, it's their turn to win, isn't it...

The reality is that we're a very good team and they're not (and their recent results are very consistent with how they've played over the season as a whole - been scratching my head at some of their results before that point). Unfortunately that doesn't always mean the game goes how you'd expect it to.

It's the waiting that does me - tried hard not to think about it but in reality I've been imagining Sharp scoring a winner for about 3 weeks. Be rate once I've had a few beers on Friday.

True . But the day I'm not nervous playing the pig's will be the day I pack it all in . I can't fucking stand them .

Only slightly nervous because we lost an important game against a promotion rival last Saturday and don't to lose another game no matte rhow inconsequential the opponents are to the promotion race.

I should have added a smiley in jest. Of course I appreciate why emotions might will be running high, but only recently the forum was full of, "the best football we've seen for decades" and last Saturday we didn't suddenly turn into a bad team. I try my best to be level headed about the Blades, but even with all the commotion that surrounds a derby, I take us to win, with Bill finally adding a goal or two.

Far to many of our fans predicting a big win for us for my liking, the football gods will jump on any chance to fuck us over lets not anger them. The last time a set of fans predicted a easy win just look what happened, a lot of Blades are sounding like the pigs did last September.
