Marlon King I heard, not particularly a good move imo. Not because of his abilty, but because of his billy big bo**ocks attitude

Fabrice Pancrate is linked in the People apparantly. 29 year old French winger/striker, released by PSG this summer. Supposed to be quick and good in the air, but his goal rate seems pretty poor if he's been playing up front at all.

He's on trial at Portsmouth i think or has he moved on?

In the Mirror too......

French speedster Fabrice Pancrate is flying in for talks with Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell today - to answer an SoS.

Pancrate is a free agent after leaving Paris St Germain and he can sign for the Blades immediately - with Blackwell ruling out right winger Jamie Ward for over a month.

Flying attacker Pancrate could fit straight into the Bramall Lane side. He has been training on his own and had a trial with Portsmouth in pre-season.

Pancrate is willing to drop down a level to put himself into the shop window and help the Blades mount a sustained challenge to get back into the Premier League.

He's certainly not missed by the PSG fans who seem to think he'd have one good game every 10.

Still, if he does come hopefully he can do the business for the Blades and he's certainly very quick. :)

Well it's going to have to be a free agent because if it's a striker on loan then he can't play in the team without moving one of our other 5 loans (Bunn, Walker, Treacy, Harper, Davies) out of the squad completely.

And about 10 other strikers that we've had recently.... Webber, Beattie 2, Henderson, Sharp, Ward (at times) and probably a few other non potent strikers

He was at Betis for a short spell, and didn't do that much.

He was mainly used on the wing at Betis, and he is like lightning. His end product seemed to be quite poor though.

Our last french striker wasn't all that smashing either. Apart from that goal against The Gooners.

Can't sign foreign "loan" signings outside the transfer window. Only can loan within the same country. So if he does sign, it will have to be permanent as a free agent. Which, according to the story, he is.

Goalkeepers do count unfortunately, unless all the keepers at the club are certified by and independant Doctor that they are unfit, then the club is allowed special dispensation to sign another keeper, and then for only 7 days at a time.

Camara and pancrate look like signing this week had these 4 trialists 2 strikers, 1 midfielder and 1 at the back but blackie seems quite happy with davies and fortune as back cover and we just got harper for middle of the park, so looks like pancrate and camara

I'll be happy with that. We could do with another right back as cover, as I don't much fancy France there if Walker gets injured, but strikers are clearly where we're the shortest at the moment.
