He was pulling up before Johnson challenged him (and won the ball)

Johnson is a dirty cunt but on this occasion he actually did win the ball.

johnson did nothing wrong, it was literally right in front of me, ward pulled up and hit the deck, and johnson even tried to see if he was alright

Id be more concerned that Wednesday fans were throwing coins at Ward as he was being taken off.

Both sides put in some more than tasy challenges. Wardy's injury was just very unfortunate - hopefully it's not as bad as initially suspected

It was a fair challenge tough for Ward the way he was ripping them up he looked ready to get some more.
They really had no response for him.

A real shame.

Even without considering the lack of cover we have up front, Wardie's

absence will be a big blow.

I won't even give those scumbags the sick satisfaction of blaming them, he

pulled up before the tackle.

As has been posted already, I didn't expect a sympathetic round of applause

from the damp blue squib, but the 'die, die, piggy piggy die' bollox sums them

up.

Tramps.

Any free transfers still in the striking department?

Since our lack of movement in August means we are overloaded with loans and not sure we can have another loanee on the field play with the rest on at the same time.

From the top right of the southstand it was very hard to see what happened fully, just looked like Johnson went through him.
CHeers for the info from those who were nearer or watching on TV :)

I don't think he really even touched him. The subsequent booing of Johnson was amusing.

He will be a big miss, but even though he gave an average performance, I think Cotterill can play the same role quite well.

But down to two strikers

was that similar to when Johnson tried to behead Naughton at swillsborough?
He won the ball???

Or when Kilgallon nearly took McCallisters head off.

Swings and roundabouts.

And for the record, it was a good challenge by Johnson who played rubbish all night.

*chortle*

Still claiming that Kilgallon high boot was malicious and worthy of a red card? Deary me.

And yes, your summation of Johnson last night and his tackle is spot on.

It's a pity that when an advantage is played, two tackles from the same player are rarely judged separately or O'Connor could have been off last night.

i cant imagine he'll be out for six weeks. he was in the toby carvery at the end of the Dronfield bypass yesterday with his mate and girlfriends and he was walking fine no sign of a limp
