I certainly did hear how Frank’s plan was executed in the first 20 seconds. I also heard he’s had to rein in the spending. Unfortunately he made some changes during the game and that worked. So to conclude he is a master tactician doing an amazing job despite limited resources.

So infuriated by this I smashed a lamp celebrating our goal jumping around going have that Lampard you cunt as we totally dominated them. Then, 1 hour later, I was so fucking incensed with how the game ended. It ruined my night and I didn’t speak for the rest of the evening, drinking red wine until I was sufficiently well oiled to go to sleep.

I watched on BeIN sports and to be honest it wasn’t as bad as I thought. The ratio of ‘match:Lampard’s slightly balding head’ on screen being around 1:2 was slightly irritating, although every time it showed Lampard I was mesmerised by the statue behind him that wasn’t Clough.

The commentator did say “the statue is of Derby’s first legendary hero (can’t remember his name), maybe Lampard could one day be thought of in the same way”, to which I was a little sick in my mouth.

Unfortunately, I was unable to watch any of the game either live or on TV, or listen to any commentary, for the first time in a very long tiime. I was told we were one nil down, then that it was 1-1 and then the final score. I felt bereft as I had so little knowledge of how we'd played. Having now read Steve's blog, Roy's view from and Deadbat's I am quite glad. We don't give up at half time, it's not in Dem Blades DNA! That is the most disappointing thing. I now have yet another team that I hate, well at Ieast their manager.
It sounds like at Ieast a point and possibly three, lost. But at Ieast we haven't really dropped any places in the league.
On to Tuesday.
Cheers Steve Mackan, great as usual.

Our lass is a Wednesday fan (in the very loosest of ways - she had a season ticket one time and went to Wembley other year). She said “who you playing tonight?”
‘Frank Lampard’s derby County’
“Why do you call them that? Isn’t it Derby?”
‘Give it a few seconds love’
- Frank Lampard’s Derby County take on -
“TOLD YA DIDNT I?! Not even been on 20 seconds (the programme not the match) and they’re at it”

Embarrassing. Hope they do nowt.

I always understood it was Terence Trent Derby County.

At least that's what I shout out when Ken Bruce plays "If you let me stay" on Ken Bruce's Popmaster.

Cue the "Pop stars that are also football clubs" competition at the next international break.

Kanye West (Ham)
Chelsea (the sadly, not long remembered punk band)
Spizz (Oldham) Athletic
Man City Rollers
The Wombles (of Wimbledon)

ISC - Just warming up and REALLY looking forward to the next international break.....

Really enjoy Dem Blogs, Steve. Cheers!

Cheers Steve Mackan, great as usual.

A bump for this.

Great as always Steve , cheers
Trepidation was obviously not a lucky mascot !

Cheers all! Thanks for the nice words. I am actually going to take a bit of a break from this blogging bizness until the new year, save a derby special. Think I've done every game (whether I've been or not) since we beat Brentford on the first day of the season, which has been a blast (even if I aint the most prolific on here - those guys are due serious credit).

With one thing and another, I'm not going to have the time or headspace to do as much writing as I'd like - though I'll certainly be back in the new year for those wanting to read my repeated digressions from all things United.

I'm so sorry to hear that, (whisper it quietly, but I look for your blog before even Roy's and Deadbat's) Brightens my day even if we've lost.
Hope it isn't health related or any serious reason, why you are having a break for now and I look forward to it's return. Best wishes anyway.

You going on holiday with your wealth from selling the books Steve Mackan??

Enjoy your break fella. Look forward to the comeback
