Much is made of the age of our strike force, but after watching Glenn Murray last night at the age of 35 score another winner for Brighton, and become the Premier Leagues second highest scorer this season. I am sure that BS, LC & DM are capable of putting enough goals into the back of the net to keep us in the mix this season. Particularly as we seem to be creating chances for them.

What is equally important is keeping a clean sheet at the other end, something that ultimately may make the difference between a good season and a memorable one.

As an aside......... Anyone out there who has recently been told they have prostate cancer, I had the operation 4 weeks ago to have it removed. I feel great, and a few bladder issues aside, I am up, driving, and might even get to today’s game. If you have any symptoms get to the doctors, the sooner it is found the better! God willing I intend to be there when we get promoted.

Great news feller, delighted for you, and hope you get to the match today.
Come 3pm I'll be asking 'Is Vic there ' ?

Excellent news Vic and a point well made.

I like watching Glenn Murray, just like Sharp, he’s one of those players that always knows where to be in the penalty area. It’s something that comes with experience and we are lucky to have two of those strikers who seem to be great at knowing where to be.

As long as we keep creating chances, Sharp and McGoldrick have every chance of being up there in the scoring charts this season. Maybe even Clarke if he finds his shooting boots again. Think he just needs one to bounce of his arse and go in to get the confidence back. He needs that bit of luck at the minute

all the best mate ;)

They're certainly scoring goals for us and the defence seems a lot more sturdy than last season.

I remember Fulham at home last season, it was such an exciting game that showed we were competative but vulnerable. I've not seen that this season yet.

Glad to hear you're on the mend pal.

Just replying to say good luck with your prostate cancer mate. Your advice to get to the doctors quick if you are having symptoms is spot on. In case folks don't know what the symptoms are, it's irregular peeing habits, going too often (and not because you've drank loads of beer) or difficulty in peeing, i.e. it coming out really slow, or keep stopping. There are other signs as well but these are the most common ones. It mainly affects men over 50. It's usually a fairly simple blood test that they do to check something call PSA levels.

As the thread says,

Old goal scorers they can still do it!
