Blades win again and we’re whinging ...again. We’re all over conceding goals when leading but nobodies interested in the character that comes back again and wins the game.

There are spineless individuals on here.

Only in S2.
Blinkers on again eh. You may well be moaning like you say.
We played some cracking forward pass on the deck thinking football. Not too much of that pass back stuff that you love. Players ran around with purpose like Wilder constantly expresses he likes and Pinchy fails to check other threads before he posts.

Only in Blinkered Pinchy world.

I'm convinced Mr P is a taxi driver and appeared in the film 'Conspiracy Theory'.

So many people who he feels the need to constantly rebuke on an internet forum (and most of em dont actually exist). Sad really.

Whoever earlier said that we need to prioritise finding a replacement/back up for Duffy is spot on. Without him we really do lack our flair and it'd be a real concern if he was to get injured. So far, Woodburn has not shown that he is a direct swap.

What Tufty actually says, back in the real world, is that ‘running around’ is to be expected. It’s a ‘given’ or you don’t play. For him it’s an essential bare minimum. For you, it’s your heart’s delight. Shangri-La in S2.

The cavemen I’ve been trying to educate for a decade are still talking bollocks; still don’t understand how the game is meant to be played.

I have a very demanding job in the special football needs area here in S2. I never complain, just get on with the challenge with patience and dedication. I’ve long since abandoned the hope of a little gratitude.

When some of us were crying out for Wilder years before he came to the club, some fans were hyper critical and got all Bladey Bladey about it, but I think most if not all of them have seen the light. Although you have good points, overall Mr Pinch you talk shite.

I was fishing for spoilers!
Haha I was only playing. One was when he went to Donny instead after United lost in the play-off final. John Ryan convinced him with a pretty simple question

If we all listened to you we wouldn’t have Wilder, Fleck and Sharp would have been shipped off to the USA, but carry on kidding yourself that you know more and better

The 'argument' for Duffy getting subbed off every game is made by Chris Wilder and his team of fitness coaches that use endless statistics and scientific methods to determine whether a player can do the necessary running in a full 90.

Duffy's MOTM performance yesterday doesn't prove this wrong, him not tracking back for the second goal against Preston is the other side.

Either way, this lad is so perfect in our team it's just sad to think it can't last for another 10 years.

I'm amazed Duffy hasn't played higher than championship, he's a very clever footballer. It's a pleasure to watch him every time he puts on the shirt gives everything and even if he has a bad patch never goes missing and constantly shows for the ball. I can only think he hasn't played higher as he spent a lot of his career on the wing where he may have had less impact. His role with us means he's always involved and more often than not is creating chances.

To be fair pinchy, most recognise the character that brought us back into the game and then go on to win it. Same happened v Preston last week - just exceptional belief and attitude.

The issue for some - is that we should have won the Millwall game easily without the hassle of conceding 2 in 5 mins just after half time.

We also shouldn't have got beat at Bristol the other week considering how we played, particularly in the first half. Same as Millwall, game should have been all but over at half time.

For me, our fans can see the potential, that THIS season can deliver and we are giving teams chances that they shouldn't be getting.

We are getting better as each week progresses, just like L1 - some of our fans just aren't as patient as others or can see where the team is going.

Exactly and I wonder how many other players have not achieved as much in their careers by being in the wrong position. Freeman being another example, very average right back, very good rwb. Coutts has played a lot on right side of midfield when he is best where he is now with us. All praise to Wilder and the coaches for, not just spotting players strengths but then utilizing them in the correct system.

Makes you wonder why he has played at the level he has most of his career.

Let's leave the pissing contests alone too if we can.

Sat in front of him in stand prior to Stockbridge game couple of years back.

He was chatting to other players. His enthusiasm and obvious knowledge of game shine through. Appeared to be passionate, friendly and above all totally fixated on the game.

Top, top bloke and player.

Can see him being an excellent coach/manager and hope we retain him when he stops playing.

I would love to see him have a crack at the PL, ideally with us of course.
Many might immediately respond by saying that he would struggle against the pace and strength of PL players but I am not so sure. Fo one he seems to have bulked up a bit and is definitely harder to knock off the ball now, his close control is also PL standard imo. Add to that how intelligent he is, he makes up for any lack of pace.

Totally agree on that, think he would be an outstanding coach. Assuming/hoping that Wilder and co stay with us for many many years then I would love to have Duffy, Wright and Sharp on the coaching staff somehow. 3 outstanding personalities to coach the young un's coming through.

I loved how Duffy celebrated the winner as if he scored it. Quality
I've seen a pic of him after we equalised and he looked pissed off, when I watched the highlights of him celebrating the winner I felt the same as you. Nailing the corner flag, celebrating with the team, the fans then on his own too- quality! For a quite lad who I assume is a model professional its brilliant to see how much he loves playing and doing well for us.

Duffy was brilliant again yesterday and produced when it mattered. He really is a joy to watch and we’re lucky to have him. I noticed on Roy’s View From thread a Millwall fan pointed him out and that’s something that happens regularly. The fact he loves us too makes me admire him even more. As others have said, how much would be worth if he was 5/6 years younger?

Why on earth did Birmingham release him?

Will we ever have another free transfer as good as him or John Fleck?

Yes, we will, it's written in the Blade's runic stones. On a clear night, when the moon is bright, and all you can hear is the memory of Ryan Leonard's knock on the manager's door you might be lucky to hear....."Duffy and Flecky sitting in a tree....."

Duffy is showing what a good player he is, in that free, roaming role behind the front two. For me the reason why he hasn't had much success in his career until now is because he has been played out of position at pretty much every club he was at as a younger man.

And I love him going mental at our winner in front of their fans.
