Best (flag) display I've ever seen are the Rome derby. Roma and Lazio fans spend months designing and making fantastic, detailed flags, take a look on YouTube

What the fuck is it with your obsession with the gangways? You go in through it before the game and at the end, you exit through it. Do you have an ultra weak bladder or something?Like when they block the gangways to shout hello to Keith and ask him if he's seen Derek lately.

Didn't we have a giant shirt one not long back?No flags larger than 2m x 1m allowed in the ground according to the regulations - section 8.2

That was Mark Labett's shirt...Didn't we have a giant shirt one not long back?
been sayingthisfor years mateWas sp much easier when standing on the kop, all us of a certain age, standing in the same area, singing and moving huge flags about and throwing bits of paper and bog rolls. I know we have to have seating but would it not be possible to have free movement of where you sit. I mean they know how many tickets are sold for each match and how many seats there are so they don't oversell the kop but it would mean people could congregate in the same area as of old rather than specific seat. Just an idea, I'm sure you will shoot it down in flamesm
That regulation does say," maximum dimensions permitted by the club from time to time."No flags larger than 2m x 1m allowed in the ground according to the regulations - section 8.2

A group of Newcastle fans crowdfunded £11,000 and use the money to buy huge flags and displays for the Gallowgate end, if United fans were that keen that would be the best way of doing it: http://www.gallowgateflags.co.uk/
That regulation does say," maximum dimensions permitted by the club from time to time."
Under normal circumstances the maximum dimensions are as a stated but "from time to time" means that you can, with the club permission, have a flag bigger than that. Well that's the way I read it anyway.
This is how to create an atmosphere
Then you've got our fans
Siddarn
Can't see t'pitch
Shurrup
Shift that fucking flag outo t'way
How about this?

To be fair our fans are an average age of about 65.
At least the ground was quite colourful against Villa though. As red and white as I've seen it for a while. But now I suppose it's back to being plain black until next August. Because.... weather.
Something like the above takes organising, and not many of ours could be bothered
Too many would complain about it and our police force would make it worse by baton charging into it thinking they could restore order, when order had never been lost in the first place
Sums it up.
Our fans can't be arsed. And even if they could, SYP and the council would put a stop to it.
That's the problem
Mind you they're correct, if something like that was even allowed in the first place some of our fans would find it impossible to resist launching a firework or flare.
The atmosphere was really starting to build up in 2002 and Bramall Lane became a mixture of noise, colour and craziness in the stands, but the flarechuckers eventually got the whole lot closed down
They won’t though. It’s their right to set off as many flares as they like, and not give two fucks about whoever is near them or whoever they hit with it when it gets too hot to hold.I hope the spastics who launched the fireworks/flares feel the guilt they should do.
