And a couple of expensive loans.

Excellent work from Wilder on Leonard and Evans. Neither quite make the impact he'd hoped (you could argue Lenny didn't get a chance, but then Wilder and Knill saw him every day in training) but he made a decent profit on both in the space of about eight months. Don't get me wrong, I don't want us worrying about balancing the books all the time but it's shrewd management.

But other than that, top thread.

Considering they could have left for nowt by winding down their contracts at some stage after not contributing a whole lot

We’re still shopping at pound land.
Outs
Brooks 12mill
Lee Evans ~1 mil
R Leonard ~ 1 mil

One
Egan 4 mil

Egan£4mil
Norwood£2.5mil
Woodburn£1mil budgeted (loan fees plus fines)
Henderson£500k loan fee
Bryan, Mcgoldrick and Washington £500k in signing on fees/agent fees
Total £8mil

Income as you say £6mil (we only got £4mil upfront for DB)

So a net £2mil spend.

I reckon Wilder will have been given £2mil of the DB money so must have £4mil in Jan to spend which is good if he has.

We will have to wait and see if he has.

Come on David, it’s not as simple as that.

Are you saying as long as we spent 4 or 5 million on, at best, an average player. then you’d be happy?
It’s not the size of expenditure that’s important, it’s the quality and type of player that is the most important.
Norowood has prove you don’t have to spend multiple millions on top quality.

Also our wage bill has massively increased, almost everyone has had a big pay rise but admission prices haven’t increased so much.
So where is the extra expenditure coming from? Also it’s not the end of the season yet.
Still the January transfer window which will effect the budget.

You can't only count the upfront fee for the Brooks sale and not do the same for the money we spent.

Both sales and purchases will be done in that way so it's all relative.

Remember got Coutts coming back, albeit let's not expect to much to soon from him.

Norwood is quality. Egan, Bryan. Not seen the best of Woodburn yet.

Point taken so hopefully 6mil in the kitty....

Yep, Norwood never happened.

I was going to mention Norwood but by club finger pressed the wrong button on the screen.
But the facts are we’ve (Wilder) has spent less than we’ve brought in. I don’t feel we’ve pushed the boat out at all. McCabe and the Prince have again showed a total lack of ambition. Wankers the pair of them. I feel Wilder been stitched up yet again.
He will not doubt put a brave face on it, as he has too but he will inwardly know we’ve missed another opportunity.

all those players that have been brought in are an improvement on the ones they've replaced. Decent business to do all that for profit.
Henderson is better than Blackman
Norwood is better than Evans
McGoldrick is better than Donaldson
Washington is better than Lavery
Woodburn could be better than Brooks

Tell me how we are worse off than we were at the end of last season?!

"Reply" instead of " N " ?

Easily done......

Do we want to make a profit or to get promotion and it not profit for me .
Any profits on player sales will be just used to lessen the amount McCabe and the Prince have to put in to run the club
