Only ever remember seeing him play against us, and remember him as being quite fast, very strong, hard to knock off the ball, and always seemed to be able to beat defenders from a long ball.

Anyway, the only thing that matters to me, is that CW has signed him, and the next time we see him play it will be in our team colours, so he gets 100% support from me.

Difference is that McGoldrick is 30 and injury prone so he was never going to get a longer contract.

Washington at 26, I would prefer to have 2 years with the option for a third, but at least we have got the new striker we desperately needed, so that's the main thing.

For me it shows that the club has put the ball firmly in the court of the player. Dig deep, prove yourself and get your career back on track. Fits the bill for a hungry player with a point to prove. Will provide another option and a chance to review the situation in January?

I've got a good feeling about this lad .

I'd much rather have him than some Johnny Bigbollocks on huge money who would have to go straight into the team and disrupt the Billy / Leon partnership , which is still one of the best in the division .

Presumably he'll be happy to play second fiddle to them , as Donaldo did ,and In doing so , I hope he's more appreciated than was the latter .
