If anything has made a mockery of FFP its this Transfer window, teams just buying their way out of emabrgos what even is the point of trying anymore? we do it because its a great excuse to be conservative and im pleased we do, but serious question what have the teams who were under embargo actually done to reverse it?? Villa look like adding Tammy Abraham, the former Ajax lad and Bollasie? proper joke

Villa wasn't ever under an official embargo, they just ran out of cash so put a self-imposed restrictions in place. They've got new investment now so they're back to gambling, much like the drunken idiot in a casino who finds a credit card he'd forgotten about.

I can't believe they're backing Bruce. Has their board been asleep for the past 18 months?

Edit: sides actually under an embargo were Bolton (since lifted), QPR (from Jan 2019); Birmingham and Wednesday (since lifted)

I know a Couple of believe it or not level headed Wednesday fans and ones who have been cautious about this whole episode from day one. They’re Of the opinion that they’re totally fucked I mean we all know this but they are saying this is nailed on disaster in waiting. Supposedly exceeded the loss limit by over £20m. And he penalty at the end of this season is limitless.huge fines, and even demotion is a real possibility.. I’m not saying this because it’s them lot but someone needs the book throwing at them and making an example of

I dont get why people moan about Hogans wage's like they're paying for him out of their own pocket....if he's what Wilder wants and he falls within budget on a season loan then just trust the man. Look at Hendo, great loan signing...I dont think many would moan if it was leaked he was earning 20k + a week.

Assume he can't play for them tomorrow as it was after 12 noon

Beeb say could play.....

Abraham, who appeared as a substitute in Chelsea's Community Shield defeat by Manchester City earlier this month, could make his Villa debut in Saturday's Championship game at Sheffield United.

He can’t. They wanna check their facts

So why haven't we got Hogan then? It's been said forever that we were waiting for other clubs to get a replacement in first and that talks have been ongoing so what's the excuse going to be now?

Nope, it was said that we were prepared to pay them, next?

Nobody has to give you any explanations. You don’t really want any. If you did, you would wait for Wilder’s next interview when no doubt he will provide that information.

Your purpose is twofold: Firstly, to attack the club you claim to support but in fact denigrate constantly and secondly to thereby seek attention.

Well I seem to have got it.

Many Villa fans would kill for a manager like Wilder. Positive, attack minded and able to inspire a high work rate. But of course he’s not a big name, so no chance.

They’ve had staggeringly turgid football for, what, 10 years plus? McLeish, Lambert, Bruce? Ouch... Even Houllier and O’Neill weren’t exactly stylists.

That should provide sufficient self-esteem for today but you’ll find fame very addictive. You’ll need to post anti-United drivel to even get up in the morning, before you know where you are.

Did you consider waiting to hear what Wilder had to say or was the vitriolic urge simply too much for you?

Help is available. Don’t despair.

And again. You are the gift that just keeps on giving.

Who said it?

I hope it's a simple case of common sense prevailing over Hogan, from all involved on our side.

But maybe we simply ran out of time to do it. Maybe we dropped our interest after signing Washington.

I think 4 strikers + 1 (Woodburn) is the ideal number anyway. Any more and one inevitably ends up sidelined.

They're basically the Man Utd of the Championship. That's not a positive thing. They're boring, they overspend, they chase the big names and don't get value for money (McGinn aside). But you know that eventually, they'll get some success by default.
