Why do away teams allow us to kick towards the kop second half ,when they win the toss ?
Little known fact. Whoever wins the toss has the choice of which way to kick or the kick off. If you choose the kick off you kick the way you already are. The losing side doesn't get to choose anything.

Toast always lands butter side down!

Surely its alot better to have ten red and white stripped shirts , steaming towards you in the second-half , than ten white shirts going away from you , from a kop fans point of view and us kopites tend to be more vocal than the rest ..

Hardly a equal advantage most games .

Good job I'm in a good mood after Billy's late winner, because otherwise the pedant in me would have pointed out that there is no such thing as two teams having an equal advantage - there would no advantage.;)

Question for those who watch Utd away regularly: do you prefer Utd to kick towards the goal you are behind (at grounds where you are behind the goal), even if it means the home team having what is generally thought of as an advantage? Is this why some clubs don't have away fans behind either goal?

Most clubs at Championship level and above have fans on all four sides. Most premier clubs stadiums are the same at both ends, so it's not really an issue for them and they probably don't have any bizarre thoughts about it.
Liverpool might prefer kicking towards the kop in the second half but I don't think many others would care which way they're kicking
