Last year we started with two defeats and a win against Brentford and two defeats to Middlesbrough and Cardiff. We did then go on to win the next four against Barnsley, Derby, Sunderland and Bolton to be played 7 won 5 lost 2.
All the doom mongers need to just look back a year. Now we have Norwood, Woodburn, Coutts coming back and a great striker on the way. Onwards and upwards we go, play offs should be our minimum target, get real Blades.

Works like a charm.
Anyway welcome to a hell of pretentiousness, absurdity, serial flouncing, hidden agendas, false personas, righteousness,
Pinchy -baiting and frankly diabolical poor spelling and grammar!
Onto the subject matter of your post, it's undoubtedly a fact that we are points per game wise in exactly the same position as we were after 3 games last season. However, there seems to be an increased level of negativity regarding our prospects to equal our achievements of last season. I have some theories as to why this should be :-
1. We haven't played as well. Actually I thought that last season although we played well against a good Brentford side, it was an even game that we could have easily lost. We were unlucky perhaps not to get a result at Boro and didn't deserve anything at Cardiff. This season, I actually thought we played well for 65 minutes against Swansea and were certainly the better team and they'd not really had an attack of any note, but for some reason we reason we stopped playing and allowed them back into it. We got spanked at Middlesboro and then got a good win at QPR in what was apparently a poor game that we did ok in. Looking at that positively, if you're winning games that you're not actually playing that well in, then you're probably alright. I'd be more concerned if we were playing really well and losing.
2. Expectations are higher. We've made some biggish signings for us and I think some fans are expecting us to be smashing it. Quite why given the money that other teams are splashing out, I've no idea.
3. We need another striker (or two) - this I would agree with. I'm sure that Wilder is trying his best to resolve this but I do wonder what Caolan Lavery has done so wrong as to not warrant even a squad number, given that at this point in time, not including Woodburn, we've got 2 fit strikers and one of them is seemingly bereft of any confidence. People will say that Lavery is not good enough, but my response would be that he played well in the game against a very strong Derby team last season before getting a horrific injury in that game.
