If nothings happens today

That was kind of my point...

Now look who's making assumptions...

And for the record, I wouldn't say they were shite to their face, or on here. I would simply say their music isn't to my tastes.
But what’s it got to do with owt? Do you have to be prepared to say everything you say on an Internet forum to the individual.

Mate you’re kidding yourself. Jedward are shite. But it’s not a normal thing to tell someone they’re shit at their ‘art’ for no apparent reason whilst talking to them.

I'm not holding out much hope of anyone coming in,we've been here countless times before.

There's no cavalry coming over the hill to rescue us ,it's time to stand shoulder to shoulder its backs to the wall, time to tough it out.

We've had some fun these last two seasons now its back to normal .

They said on Radio Sheffield yesterday that the transfer window is a bit of red herring really, it only applies to the PL.

Championship clubs can still loan players with a view to making it a permanent transfer.

Said it on another thread, just hope our unnecessarily blinkered attempt to sign Waghorn doesn't come back to bite us.

Appreciate the loan window is still open, but currently it looks almost negligent to have 3 strikers available, hope not.

I would say the back 5 are the same. The midfield without Coutts isn't as good. I know he's injured but we've had two windows to replace him and brought in 3 players who so far have proven to be inadequate. Clarke is a year older and it is naive to think he will be as good as last season.

I think the team that beat Brentford last season would beat this one. Mostly down to Coutts being out and Clarke being past his peak (in my opinion). We've had 3 windows since we got promoted yet Stevens is the only player who is a guaranteed starter when everybody is fit.
stevens? irony eh?

I believe they call it 'integrity.'

I'm not kidding myself, but whatever, I understand your position, we may aswell leave it here.

Would I just come out and say they’re shit in public? No why would I do that that would be most stupid?

If we got into a conversation about their footballing ability possibly but I’m doubtful. It’s not normally the type of thing you say to a person.

If you got into conversation with Jedward by chance would you tell them they’re shite at making music? No? Thought not.
But I’m pretty sure if I was to ask your opinion on then unless you’re a huge fan you’d say ‘shite’

Maybe you’re that unpleasant?

I agree, you'd use a bit of diplomacy if face to face with someone. However, I don't think I'd be able to resist telling Jedward that they're shit

I honestly feel that if we don’t add to our squad today we will be relegated. An aging side, no pace, lack of effort by some individuals and a less than secure defence. I’m so pissed off because we have the best manager in a generation with the worst board room in a generation. Always the United way, when will the fuckwits in charge realise this. If we are relegated, I feel that this could be the death knell for the club. Attendances would dip dramatically, no money, history repeating itself. I know many will disagree with me and I hope I’m wrong. It’s just that I love this club, it’s a big part of my life. It’s going down the shitter a big way because two turds cannot sort out their differences and are fannying about in court whilst Rome is burning.

Considering we have only 2 strikers maybe he should get a loan in then, just a thought

I don’t consider Sharp a 3rd striker because the manager doesn’t

As expected, as we've been told by our manager - Has this been the worst transfer window since Wilder took over?

People might say we've strengthened, we haven't. We've stayed the same strength wise if anythinh we're weaker as we've lost any sort of depth upfront and 3 of our key players are getting no older and the old legs become a factor. Leon, Sharp, Duffy.
Henderson = Blackman (some may argue for and against the other, realistically they are a similar level)
Woodburn = Brooks
Egan has been added, early days
McGoldrick > Donaldson

Then we've lost any semblance of depth upfront by shipping out Evans (not that he was good but at least he was a body), losing Brooks and not giving Lavery a squad number. 3 strikers we've got.

We are lacking massively upfront and to not reinvest the Brooks money in this window would be absolutely criminal.
Chris says we can't find anyone to improve us with the budget we have? I for one hope he's only joking. There's better players in League 2 than some of the shite taking a shirt at the minute.
We can't have only had one target in Waghorn and then when we're gazumped on him because... wages, we throw our toys out of the pram and just don't bother.

It was loaning players last time that killed us and if we build our team around Woodburn, Henderson and whoever the striker we'll end up signing is on loan we're back to square one again next summer.

It'll be a case of 'lets make do' until January. Then from January it'll be 'make do' to the summer.
Rinse and repeat, it's the same old tired story we've heard far too often.

(Of course this all changes when we sign Sam Gallagher on a permanent deal later today)
The Club being stuck in the dark ages and failing to search beyond these shores doesn't help either Eric.

Can I just say to the team, at the moment, the way you play your football isn't to my taste.

To not have purchased a perm striker with numbers available this close season that would improve us is scandalous. Was the money thier in the first place...how many times have we sold a player then it never gets reinvested, the original budget was meant to have been increased, as it stands doesn’t look like it...piss poor, meant have had 4 bids in on Monday, what happened t them. We’re either skint or our scouting is shite.. probably both.

But melodramatic that mate.

Were you around when Jasper Johns was our marquee signing?!
I thought it was time for rallying call.
I remember being really excited when Jasper Johns signed I thought half cast and quick maybe a little gem.
Thats where the pessimism comes from.

In terms of what?
You may say we're like for like but we really aren't. For a start as I said in my OP our key players upfront are a year older now and they weren't spring chickens beforehand.

That team that played Brentford WOULD beat the team that played Swansea. It's not just the players it's the tactics.
We were attacking everyone before now it's pedestrian, slow, ponderous football. We don't look anything like the exciting team of 12 months ago and we'll be at the other end of the table for the majority of the season.

That’s called being a Keyboard Warrior, the very definition of it.
Yeah... I'm sure Lundstram is expecting 'Eric Cartman' to meet him in real life and call him shite.

Anyone got his address I'll pop round now with a megaphone?

McGoldrick: This is his stats and I'm sorry that I wasn't doing cartwheels when he signed

17/18 - Missed half of their league games with injury - scored 6 goals in 22 goals. That's a goal every 3.6 games
16/17 - 30 games played 5 goals scored. A goal every 6 games.

Compare him to Donaldson that we've recently released:

17/18 - 30 games played (inc Birmingham & most of his appearances with us were sub ones) 5 goals scored. A goal every 6 games
16/17 - 23 games played 6 goals scored. A goal every 3.8 games.

Not really sure what the point of the swap was? I actually think Donaldson looked more dangerous and that's saying something!

This sums my feelings up. Just totally let down. Great chance to build after a couple of great seasons yet we've somehow ended up with a weaker first 11 than we had at the start of last season. We are in our 2nd season of Championship football and our only 3 strikers are Sharp, Clarke and McGoldrick. It's incredible really.
Been going to the Lane since 1958.

I feel so disheartened by the lack of commitment and imagination demonstrated currently and over the past few years by the management and the owners. The latter simply don't deserve to be associated with my club.

Got worries at club. Wilder said because their is nobody that can improve us. Which is worrying after youve been battered by middlesboro. Surely there are someone to improve that defence & better than Clarke that been living of that 1st few months for 6 months now

We have no money where have walker, maguire sell on % & brooks money gone.
