For those of you travelling by train on Saturday allow a bit of extra time if using the tube from St. Pancras as the Hammersmith & City Line will be closed between Paddington and Hammersmith due to engineering works.

I recall when I went to Fulham last year there was similar transport problems FFS

Fake news! https://tfl.gov.uk/tube-dlr-overgro...8-08-11T00:00:00&endDate=2018-08-12T23:59:59#

Full service on the Hammersmith & City; the only closure is at the top of the Bakerloo line which shouldn't affect (m)any Blades travelling to QPR.

Nice walk from St P's to Shepherds Bush. Plenty of pubs on the way. First tme on train down there for ages so I hope The Scottish Stores and Berties are still open. Probably with different names.

Victoria Line, change at Holborn to Central Line. Get off at White City for QPR or Shepherd’s Bush for pubs. Or stay on Vic til Hammersmith, walk up Hammersmith Grove, cut up through Shepherds Bush Market. About 15-20 minutes walk.

Swab at Cockfosters, anaesthetic at Finsbury Park. First incision at Russell Square. Remove appendix at Covent Garden. Suture at Hyde Park Corner. Alight Oxford Circus. Change to Central line. Bandage at White City and alight.

So london blades...what would my best bet be on saturday when me and my lad land at kings cross, which line would be my best bet,to be near on shepherds bush/Goldhawk rd for a quick couple of slurps before game?
Cheers.

Not a London blade but...

Piccadilly to Holborn, then central line to Shepherd's Bush?

Not a London Blade either but if you are arriving at Kings Cross then I assume you are not travelling from Sheffield as Sheffield trains don’t go to Kings Cross. They go to St Pancras. Close - but not the same station.

So I’d leave Kings Cross and head towards St Pancras then cross over the road and go in the Euston Flyer and drink some Fullers ESB - a suitable pre-match anaesthetic. Or walk up the road to the Euston Tap for some similar treats.

.

Better places to drink by Holborn too. The Princess Louise and The Ship.
Unless Sam's have started doing their version of Dark Fruits I've no chance of getting him in there.

Yeah leaving sheffield but changing at donny because of closures at derby, therefore getting in to kings cross at 10-05...first time down with lad, looking like it could be quite an adventure with these closures on tube.
