When Chris was trying to get a pay-rise do you think that none of his friends or family posted anything on social media or internet forums about it? Or that there's no one on football forums he knows defending him or having a go at those who criticise him?

We're in a different world now. As long as they're not slagging Wilder off, then it's little more than an opinion about their other halves. If Wags still do stuff together, no doubt the same arguments, spats etc happen as they do with the players.

And bare in mind that male footballers, and those who go out with male footballers, are generally not the brightest.

I posted this in the Sharp rumour thread but may not get seen or discussed in there so thought i'd give it a thread.

Both Mrs Sharp and Mrs Duffy have been on twitter bitching about them not playing. If I was Sharp and Duffy, i'd get them to rein it in, however, what it does suggest is a falling out maybe?

I am baffled as to why Sharp didn't get on the pitch last night and also why Duffy got so little game time over the 2 games. Something must have gone off.

Anyway, here are the tweets:

My only conclusion is he see Duffy can cause more danger as an impact sub (pretty pointless when you're 3-0 down admittedly). Sharp baffles me a little but maybe Wilder feels he's reached his peak. (I did hear a whisper Sharp was off to Bradford)

I am not on twitter but I understand the tweets are still there which means both Sharp and Duffy has not asked their respective wife/girlfriend to remove the tweets. Player power is totally wrong and it must not happen at our club.

The bottom line is the manager is in charge. It’s his job to pick the team and he is given authority to do so.

I don’t think it’s a huge issue per se, but it’s unprofessional for a wife / partner to tweet like that. You wouldn’t dream of doing it in most lines of work, let alone in such a high profile profession.

If it was a player tweeting that he should be playing, that's an issue, the partner of a player wanting their husband to play and thinking they could do a job? So what. Tiny potatoes in Wilder's list of issues at the moment.

If he gives a shit about this and not the fact that the team he's picking is currently tripe then he's nowhere near our best manager.

I also don't think anyone has said he should go other than sarcasm and shit stirring but some people don't see it when written.

If he keeps picking this team and we keep losing, he's going to get criticism, I've no doubt he can take it. Don't know what he's doing personally, maybe it's part of a wider plan but I certainly want Wilder to be our manager and I've been very critical.

Let's face it after Swansea it was obvious that our bench would have been better off on the pitch and just because he's the manager and we're the fans doesn't mean we don't have a right to an opinion and that he's always right.

Indeed not. I doubt my wife's work (NHS) would appreciate it and I know mine wouldn't.
