Fundamentally disagree with you here: at the moment, Sharp and Duffy themselves haven't done anything wrong. Yes, their other halves have made some insinuations on twitter but unless the two players have been asked to intervene you can't hold them responsible for the tweets in question.

I am not on twitter but I understand the tweets are still there which means both Sharp and Duffy has not asked their respective wife/girlfriend to remove the tweets. Player power is totally wrong and it must not happen at our club.

First off, they're individuals expressing opinions. I see nothing in there that slags off United as a club so there's no reason to remove anything.

Well if the dressing room is split, let's hope it's not along the lines of who's regarded as the best players against those deemed shite. Based on this season it looks like 2 v many with JOC Fleck and Baldock floating in the middle at the moment.

The bottom line is the manager is in charge. It’s his job to pick the team and he is given authority to do so.

I don’t think it’s a huge issue per se, but it’s unprofessional for a wife / partner to tweet like that. You wouldn’t dream of doing it in most lines of work, let alone in such a high profile profession.
