Marvelous result.
Ward, Quinn, Cotts, Hendo, Monty, Walker, Treacy were all excellent.
Sorry, can't agree with Walker being excellent.
I've no problem with him going forward and his tricks are wonderful, but defensively, he was a weak link. Perhaps you had to be there to see his poor positional awareness today (it's a bit hard when you're watching and can't see the full pitch) but he got caught in no man's land a few times and was turned inside far too easily due to a lack of decisiveness. His tendency to wander drew Morgan out wide a few times when there was danger in the middle and he was very lucky to get away with a few last ditch tackles that ought to have been fouls in Reading's favour.
I'm not one to whinge for the sake of whinging, but it's something that needs to be cut out. Especially as he is such a useful asset going forward.
On the whole, a good team performance but a frustrating case of only playing for 45 minutes again. Reading were lacking any real outlets, their only action coming down the left when Walker went wandering. Quinn's goal was a beauty, be interesting to see exactly why what should have been our second was disallowed, what ended up being our second was a gift and Cotterill's goal was magnificent.
Ward played extremely well and got stuck in when he needed to as well. Hendo put himself about a lot more than he has done so far and Evans, unfortunately, was playing far too deep to be effective. Quinny had a good game despite an early slip under little pressure and a few balls going astray. Monty's passing was excellent today. Morgan got us out of some sticky situations and Killa was strong. I thought Taylor had a good game, pushing on and providing support to Ward when he switched wings when Cotts came on. Bunn does seem to like punching it which I don't have a problem with if the danger is cleared.
A big shout out to the ball boys and United fans who played their part in wasting time towards the end too

how many balls can we get on the pitch at once?!
