I accept there are a few days left and we are all expecting at least one more striker to arrive but amongst the excitement at the quality of player we are bringing in and (probably) the money we are spending is this the best transfer window we have had? Lots on here are will remember our best windows, thoughts ?

Didn't we say this about the one last year, and the signings were very underwhelming

It all depends on the striker we bring in.

We need to end the window with a flourish. Great to get rid of the deadwood but a shame to lose Brooks.

It's a good window but just pipped by the one where we got Fathi, Shelton and Seck.

Feel like we still need two more strikers to add. Wit says we havent touched the brooks money so got atleast 4m left.

I really can't see Chris condoning any of the shit that comes out of this Twits mouth.

Hi Marcus, we're still interested in Waghorn...what's the latest.

Well, we hear you've still got a few million in the kitty, so that would be a nice start.

We appear to doing what CW promised to do and that is to bring in quality.

Woodburn/Bryan are young, full of promise and quite possibly hungry enough with massive enthusiasm to prove themselves and therefore bring quality to the team.

Egan is proven at this level.

We now have plenty of options all over the pitch and these new players also increase our options of formation change during games that appears to be something good teams need to rely on.

We should be better at stopping the ball going in our net - 64 thousand dollar question - can we put it in the other end?

Sold the player with most potential and brought in a few loan players untested at this level plus a couple of average championship players one with a questionable injury record ... just awesome.... best transfer window ever!!!!

I doubt Ipswich's owner really cares what some bloke on twitter he doesn't know from Adam says about our transfer budget

Not yet . We've sold our most promising player for 12m and reinvested 4m in Egan. We've swapped loan keepers, brought in a freebie over 30 striker and 2 kids with loads of potential.

Weve done well clearing out players who werent playing with Hanson, Henegan, Thomas, Carruthers, Holmes, Hussey and Donaldson all out the door.

What we do up front in the next 2 weeks will determine how good a window it really was.

Judge the transfer window only when you see how the players coming in get on.

The JTW was lauded and that turned out to be very much more miss than hit.

add Freeman + Waghorn to that list and yes, the best transfer window (on paper.... before a ball has been kicked)

The one when we signed Beattie, Hendrie, Naysmith etc was pretty good but that soon went south!

They were cancelled out by the signing of Mogadon Man.

Bryan "There's only one United" Robson - McCabe's worst decision by a very long chalk.

One more striker is essential, then it'll have been a very good window.

Not a bad window, but two years ago we signed:

Jack O'Connell (subject of a rumoured 8m bid)
Leon Clarke (second top scorer in the Championship last season)
AND
John Fleck (beat both of the above to Player of the Year. Twice.)

Which we funded by selling Che Adams (no regrets).
