Apparently we enquired about him earlier in the summer, but walked away when we were told the wage his was on.

Joao signed a 4yr deal in 2015 so he's only got a year left.
He seems to score a lot for them but I wasn't sure if that was because every goal they get pains me so it just seems like it's more than it actually is.
To be honest he's not prolific but on the odd occasion I've seen him he's excacly what we need. If Gallagher doesn't come off (who surely must be on similar wages) I'd try for him again.

Freeman's a blatant long term Duffy replacement and I don't think Wilder would pass up the chance to reinvest the Brooks money in him just because he's got Woodburn on loan for a season. If he would then he's a fat muppet.

I was talking with a local football manager a couple of months ago (won't see which one but wasn't CW) and he was telling us about how he signs players. He said he always meets them in a Costa and buys them a coffee. If they order a "normal" coffee they stand a chance, if they order "a fancy Latte with sprinkles and sparkles on top" then they are not for him and the conversation ends no matter how good a player he thinks he is!
