3 strikers is not enough for any squad, every year injuries and poor form come into play - minimum 4 required and I’m not sure Lavery is in CW’s plansI think the attacking midfielder is more important than a striker. All 3 of clarke, sharp and mcg can finish. If someone like freeman can create the chances those 3 will score.

I think Wilder wants another 3, not just 2 as he's indicated in interviews.
In which case, Freeman and Gallagher in addition to Woodburn would do nicely. Armstrong if Freeman isn't possible.
I feel we've got to sign a young attacking player permanently. It's alright signing loans but next summer we'd be left with an attacking group made up exclusively of 30 somethings.

What makes you think that?
He seems to like to go with 5 strikers, and Lavery's leaving, as he hasn't even got a squad number.
I think he'll want 2 big CFs, lot of pressure on Clarke if not.
Then there's Freeman, who I think he'll try to sign if it's possible.
He's also previously signed more than he said he will, and what he says in interviews isn't set in stone.
There's also a lot of time left for the loan window.
Tom Elliot with 1 year left on his Milwall contract another option.Wouldn't be a bad idea at all to sign Freeman then sign a striker to cover Clarke - a cheaper target man from somewhere.
Charlie Wyke, Apostolos Vellios and Mikael Mandron would all cost under £1m.
We'd be OK then as Woodburn can play as a second striker and I expect McGoldrick to contribute plenty.

Bradshaw would be cheap and decent cover at this level.
Is it cover we want tho Robbie?
CW wants to take us to the next level. To me that means bringing better players. Players that actually do improve us. Not cover players, but first teamers and where strikers are concerned, a striker that should be first name on the striker dept team sheet
We might only get one crack at this with the transfer fund available due to the sale of Brooks. Once its gone its gone. Big decisions need to be made
Imo, more cover players are not needed. We have enough of them and I don't want to see our funds wasted on more of what we've already got

One striker who'd really kill two birds with one stone is Lucas Joao.
He's big and strong enough to lead the line but he's also a pacy skillful type. And quite young.

I think he's as good as Sharp and would fit into our ethos. Obviously Sharp, Clarke and McG are all knocking on a bit. We could use a permanent addition upfront who isn't short-term.
Ticks all the boxes we need. I'm hoping that Wilder knows a lot about Wendy's plight and is waiting to pounce.Probably wishful thinking. He's the type that would make the whole team score more goals, and would give us a decent counter attacking threat. It seems the pigs are trying to get Westwood out; It seems they need at least one out to meet FFP obligations.
