Morning all,

The new season's almost here, so I've lobbed together a big ol' podcast with Jay (aka Blades Analytics on Twitter) in which we talk about latest Blades news (Waghorn, Simon Moore's new contract, state of the squad generally) and then... we attempt to predict where every Championship team is going to finish this season.

In doing so, we give a quick breakdown on every team: ins, outs, strengths and weaknesses. Good news! We've got United finishing higher than Wednesday.

I know Deadbat has done a brilliant written piece on his own season predictions already, but if you fancy an hour or so of audio while you're on the way to work, in the garden, the gym, or on the loo (although if you're on the loo for an hour, you may need to see a doctor), then I invite you to give this a good listen:

Yes , could be. Watched him when he came on for Wales. And the commentators were raving about him at the time. Hopefully he can have a big impact for us. As you have said though. The pace issue has not been addressed so far. That's why we will come up short in my opinion.

Hard to argue with much of it (bit harsh on Wigan though). Think you’re correct with your prediction for us (although with some useful additions like Woodburn and Freeman, I would start to get excited).

Have you compared and contrasted with Not The Top 20s’ preview yet - interesting listen as well and a few disagreements.

I haven't had chance to listen to it yet - thought I'd go in "cold" with my own predictions first then see how they compare! I'll check it out shortly.

Agree on Freeman over George...not taking anything away from him,but I just think Kieron is better in the final third with goals and assists...I do think Chris will start with George though,which I'm not totally against.
Oh yeah,i really don't fancy Stoke myself,not to win it anyway...maybe it's the lack of creativity or it could be Rowett as Manager,but who knows.

Just finished listening to it and it well worth a bump for anyone who's missed it.

Despite Jay sometimes sounding like he was underwater, a very considered and thoughtful analysis from both of you. You work well as a pair and don't speak over each other, nor always have the same views.
