Top hat of a right foot?Looks a player. Wand of a left foot.

I’d consider not considering he openly said earlier in the window him and slater would be going out on loan.... which may be why CW has ignored those on here who have been bleating all summer that we should spend good money on a LWB.
He’ll be starting in place of Stevens if anythingSo we will be starting the first game with Stevens at left back then.
I knew somebody would say people were 'bleating' as soon as I read the first comment. It's our weakest position and barely anyone has seen him play. It's not like anyone thought we should spend all our cash there. Just that it's the most obvious area to strengthen... which may be why CW has ignored those on here who have been bleating all summer that we should spend good money on a LWB.
We’ve got Stephens and Lafferty and, as he hasn’t gone out on loan, RND. We were never going to sign a LWB.I’d consider not considering he openly said earlier in the window him and slater would be going out on loan.
We should’ve never kept Lafferty, never gonna get a game. He epitomises ‘cover player’We’ve got Stephens and Lafferty and, as he hasn’t gone out on loan, RND. We were never going to sign a LWB.
I doubt we will. There's generally a mis-placed sense of hesitation regarding young players and the first team. Players are too often sent out on loan or sat on the bench for a season or two when really they ought to be in the thick of it.He’ll be starting in place of Stevens if anything
But I doubt he’ll be playing him so soon, would be a nice surprise though
My point is that, whatever people here may think, it’s blindingly obvious that CW believes we are well covered in that position.I knew somebody would say people were 'bleating' as soon as I read the first comment. Half the fun is in the debate. Wilder played Stevens in 40+ games last year and Id say 75% of people on here thought be was pretty poor for most of that time. Until tonight it seemed like Stevens had no competitionMy point is that, whatever people here may think, it’s blindingly obvious that CW believes we are well covered in that position.
Definitely. Leeds have done brilliantly giving their young ens a go as soon as they’re ready, we seem to try to teeth them in little by little in recent yearsI doubt we will. Yep. He’s quick and he’s got the athleticism to play LWBWould you say he looked a decent athlete? That's what I thought at Bradford.
The next Seasegnon ? Please ? If so gone in JanuaryWould you say he looked a decent athlete? That's what I thought at Bradford.
He really isn’t good enough is heHopefully he plays in the cup game. It would be pretty shit if Wilder started Lafferty ahead of him in that one.
I’d have kept Lafferty, bought a LWB and fucked Stevens off. Can’t defend, can’t attack. Lafferty can defend at least from what I’ve seen. Hopefully this Norrington chap is in for the 1st gameWe should’ve never kept Lafferty, never gonna get a game. He epitomises ‘cover player’
I think Stevens is better than LaffertyI’d have kept Lafferty, bought a LWB and fucked Stevens off. Can’t defend, can’t attack. Lafferty can defend at least from what I’ve seen. Hopefully this Norrington chap is in for the 1st game
Hmmm ! On a par. Guess Stevens had to play 46 + games with no break so that takes its toll.I think Stevens is better than Lafferty
Spot on. Any young players assessed to be better than their first team counterpart should just go straight in to the team for me. Their ability will soon show. Players don't gain any ability or 'get better' by being sent on loan. They have a certain potential ability level specific to them that remains constant and comes to the forefront given game time.Definitely. Leeds have done brilliantly giving their young ens a go as soon as they’re ready, we seem to try to teeth them in little by little in recent years
And I feel like that’s why we haven’t seen many prospects involved. There’s a lot of talent in our academy gone to waste and ended up falling down the leagues. It’s easy to say ‘if they were good enough they’d have made it’ but it’s not that simple. It’s all about timing as a youngster and if you miss the boat by a few months they can be knocked back massively.
Wouldn't it be best to...
Give Norrington-Davies a new 4 year contract.
Send him out on loan to L1.
Sign a capable attacking LWB on loan.
Sell Lafferty.
Then reassess in January or at the end of the season?
