Possible Summer Targets

Before people jump on my back, no it's not FACT but based on reports and interviews I'd say we've been in for-
Hogan - struggling to match wages
Waghorn - unwilling to up £5m but
Gallagher- seems we want a loan while the Saints want a sale.

Marriott seems realistic but I think it's the fans that have made that link rather than anything else. I think we can afford him and his wages but it sounds very likely he's off to Derby.

Wells seems to be in the background a bit, but I've not seen any solid link with him.

To be honest, I've no idea where these 2 strikers are coming from.

Certainly in for a interesting 2 weeks now.

You believe what you want, i don't know who told you they drew Nixon, Twirlo, Dave78, Sunji or even Maxtheblade.
But i know 100% they lost and Joao didn't play, can't reveal my sources but I'm definitely ITK on this.

I think Sheffielder might just be taking the piss.

Remember they won 0-0 at the Lane last season, so by their reasoning they drew 2-1 at Mansfield last night.

Sam Gallagher could be the one IF there was any truth in it - long terms admirers, Southampton looking to raise funds, £7m-ish price tag. Wages the likely stumbling block.
I’m sorry but at what point did he become worth 7m?

7 in 33 matches doth butter no parsnips.

Hernandez would fit the bill - but given Leeds couldn’t agree wages with him I think he’s be out of reach.

Hoolahan is / was a class player but passed his peak imo.

They will all have to lower their wage demands to get a move I reckon. Some are worth the punt if their attitude is right.

Sako is probably the only one I want, although as I type Hoolahan could do a job. Hope the spelling of Hoolagan is right though mattbianco1

If I look at some stats I do like the look of Lee Gregory and Luke Freeman, both got almost exact the same expected goals and assists as Waghorn last season, Based on expected goals and assists, Gregory should have hit the 21, while he only got 13 in real. So lots of unreached potential statswise.

Waghorn actually overperformed statswise, his expected goals and assists are 21 while he actually reached the 25.

Special mention for Tom Bradshaw, could be worth a shot but don't think that's gonna happen since we already signed McGoldrick.

Hmm does this mean we're tired of waiting for Waghorn?
Is it a bluff (I don't think so, I think the line above is true)
If we were in for Gallagher as speculated that bid would already be on the table (thank f**k)
Hogan has to be out of reach (thank f**k)
Please let it be Armstrong

Or does that mean Gregory just can’t finish?

Would be a solid move.

£5million goes a hell of a lot further on the continent than it does in the championship!

That said I can’t see it at all - wilder has solidly ‘gone British’ and people that know the league.

Imo a Brentford model of picking up good foreign imports and getting value either monetary or first time contributions would be a wise way to go if we can’t pay wages for the British targets

It could, but it means that based on stats, X shots of him should result in a goal statswise, so it can also mean that he got unlucky with some good goalkeeper saves etc. But obviously needs to watch lots of footage of him, which I have not done yet.

Come out if the blue, could it be someone from, or recommended by our visitors on Tuesday?
