I think he'd be a great signing. Experienced and maybe looking to return to England for a new challenge before his best days are behind him. Apparently being eyed up by a few championship clubs though.

blackburn fans are happy to get rid of him, not sure whether he would be a good signing or not

Goalkeeper, 33, played at barnsley for years then went abroad somewhere, think was greece and that was the last i heard of him...

Went to Panathanaikois then came back and played second fiddle for Bristol City.

Moore is obviously close to leaving then.

I fear we’re letting go the nucleus of the squad that got us so far. We didn’t need many players at the end of last season, perhaps 3 or 4?

If Moore leaves then that’s another new player needed. By the time we’ve finished in this transfer window we could end up having 8 or 9 new signings, now that’s a lot to blend into a squad that’s had a real unity. Another very tough job for Wilder to deal with which hopefully he’ll relish?

So, we're trading in 28 and 24 year old keepers (the former who is better than Steele) for a 33 year old free agent?

Let's hope we get taken over by a rich owner this season or we'll be struggling to put out a side next season.

My concern about the direction of our transfer policy is growing. There seems to be zero planning for the future.

And yes, I know it's only a trial at this stage.

Eastwood is the future. Steele is absolutely fine as backup to Henderson.

This only makes sense if West Brom give us a decent fee for Moore.

Otherwise what’s the point of trading a known and solid first team keeper back up / number one for one 5 years older.

In the same way that Ramsdale was?

I can see the need for a back-up coming in for a year if Long and Moore are going, but are you realistically suggesting that Eastwood will be our no.1 next season?

Or will we have a 34/5 year old keeper and have to loan yet another keeper in?

Moore is more than adequate as a number 2, in fact I’d be happy with him starting if needed.

He probably wants to contest a first team place rather than be number 2. We can’t offer him that, if he moves elsewhere he gets a fair crack of the whip. I’d be happy with Steele starting - he’s played 209 games at Championship level and is more proven than Moore. Don’t dispute Moore is a good lad though but I understand Steele is as well.

Pretty relaxed on this.

Yes suspect we’ll loan or buy a new keeper in. Worked last year, worked the year before, looks promising this year. Again there’s plenty to get upset about but not a potential Steele / Moore swap.

I understand this but he won’t be number one with West Brom because they’ve just signed Sam Johnstone and Jonathan Bond, and they also have Alex Palmer in a trio of goalkeepers.

Unless he’s going somewhere else? Or he wants to contest for the number 3 spot at West Brom? :)

I wouldn’t understand it if Moore when to WBA. They’ve signed Johnstone and Bond, so could potentially be third choice. He’s either going somewhere else or his injury is worst than what we think! Wilder could also be thinking of sending Eastwood out on loan?

Wonder what the relegated teams can offer players which others can’t Wiz? :);)
