Chapman is an attacking midfielder/winger/striker, Lenihan a Defender/Defensive Midfielder.
Why would them signing an attacking player allow us to sign one of their best defensive players?
It depends on how badly they want El ChappoChapman is an attacking midfielder/winger/striker, Lenihan a Defender/Defensive Midfielder.

Your theory may have been plausible if Utd had indeed expressed an interest in taking Chapman back. However, I suspect that, as with Riley, he wouldn't feature regularly for Utd next season and therefore there'd be no benefit to him or M'boro for him to come back to Utd (apart from Utd picking up a chunk of his wages). As he missed most of last season, another go at L1 will probably do him good.

I certainly wouldn’t. Not at the level we need (Chapman) that is. And I’m hoping/expecting better than Armstrong.Wonder if he might be worth another look now Brooks has been and gone. Got a hat-trick for us in the cup, definitely would add something.
I see Blackburn linked with him and Adam Armstrong. I’d be happy with those two, Gallagher and a centre half.
Why?Couldn't get a consistent run in the team when we were in League One
He'll be fairly cheap though, and let's face it, cheap is better than talented but expensive

He's more of a winger. We don't play with wingers. We already have a winger who has barely touched the pitch because we don't play with wingers.
Visual representation of Chapman sat next to Ricky Holmes on the bench...

Sometimes. For me, he was Duffy's deputy and covered the positions Duffy would take up during games. He played as a second striker for us a few times didn't he? Or am I remembering it incorrectly
Why?
How?
Am I missing something , I just don't understand what he is getting at, he ain't been posting long and he does come across as a bit negative.Don't waste your time lads.
