Right, it's done, let's stop whinging and move on, David who!??

So, WHERE THE FUCK ARE OUR NEW SIGNINGS CHRIS!!!????

Did they promise him that though? I’ve seen quotes about improved budget but nothing about money from sales.
I dont know LS ,its more a poke at people who will have a go at the owners, be brilliant news though wouldn't it.

Right. Here goes. I’m putting myself out there !

1. Brooks will have a decent career. Lower end PL and Championship at best.
2. He WILL NOT turn in to the world beater plenty are expecting him to do.
3. His value in the transfer market won’t increase significantly beyond what we have just received. Any sell on clause wont realise the kind of fruit seen for Harry and Kyle.
4. GLTTL. I hope your agent dines out on this for many an evening ;)

UTB

Just asking a question, re the Alan Nixon quote fella...

Don’t worry. Alan Nixon has just said somebody else is on their way out too. “Unexpected” player at that.
Wonder if we’ve opened the talent floodgates by letting Brooks go?
It will probably be Fleck or Jack to Burnley with Walters coming the other way:(

It’s Hanson - unexpected because we’d all forgotten he existed.

Alan Nixon is a cunt who knows fuck all.

Nixon: “United to announce player. Plays football. Lives in England.”

*United announce signing*

Nixon: “See, told ya”

If Fleck, O’Connell, Duffy or Coutts go then we’ll be in trouble this Season. Everyone else is replaceable. I’d be surprised if someone moves for Coutts this Summer, but the others will attract interest. I have a sneaky feeling Forest might come after Duffy.

How I feel about this will depend on what the team brings in and what we achieve. Will it be like DCL where we sold potential but it helped fund a promotion or torpedo our best chance this season to go up? Only time will tell.

In the meantime at least we have the consolation of getting fairly decent money for a lad we got for nowt from Manchester City a couple of years ago while our neighbours got fuck all for the son of a club legend who they had from childhood. Straws being clutched I know but hey it’s something

Good luck to Brooksy. Given how he was knocked back in his career and had to work to rebuild it it's not surprising he's taken the opportunity and he deserves it.
Given Wilder already had an increased transfer budget and now has all these millions on top, there must be some significant incoming transfers on the way.
Don't really get the undisclosed fee bit when it's presumably very likely the fee will have to be reported in the accounts.

Darren on Twitter is the same. This morning States that "change of agent made it inevitable" as alluded to by CW a week ago.

Also on about Pavard the French right back "being due for a big move" as mentioned during last nights to commentary.

Yep, at 20 yrs old and after 9 starts in 3 soul crushing, exhausting years on professional forms at united, and that on top of slaving away at man city for the previous 10 years at their sub standard facilities, the Bournemouth offer really was last chance saloon for the lad. Now or never, his last chance to play at dean court in the english riviera derby. It's been one hell of a journey for the lad, one which I suspect he'll document in a tattoo, and he'll do that kiss both hands and point to the sky celebration that all put upon premier league players, who've been on one hell of a journey, seem to do now-a-days. If it wasn't for us taking a chance on him & puberty finally kicking in his late teens, he'd be working in a biscuit factory and playing for runcorn. But, once a blade...... :)

Anyone with eyes and a Twitter account could tell you that Pavard is due for a big move, he's bloody amazing and plays for Stuttgart. He'll obviously be off somewhere.

Undisclosed fee..

Are they going out of their way to piss off as many fans as possible this week?

We haven’t disclosed a transfer fee for years have we?

Is some of it to not alert other clubs exactly how much money we have coming in when negotiating other transfers? It will come out in the wash in due course.

Look, we were all seduced by Brooks' obvious skills & class, understandably so, & his cameo performance at Swillsborough will live long in the memory, giving us supporters the chance to dream of what could be. However, this is SUFC & the law says "what can go wrong will go wrong", so dreams turn to ashes in our mouths (I nicked that bit). The saving grace for me is that he wasn't an integral member of our team so on that front his departure will not adversely affect our system; he also came for nowt so by any yardstick it is good business, even if fans think he has been undersold, & if the moneh goes to Chris & if he gets 2 or 3 decent replacements that takes us further up the league then it has to be seen as a worthwhile step to take.
Not saying I am happy about it, but it does make sense for a club in our position.

A year ago he was being loaned to Chesterfield, now he's got the opportunity of playing in the best(ish) league in the world.
That's down to a bit of hard work and self-belief after being dumped by Man City.
Disappointed he's leaving but can still see he's earned his opportunity.

That Bournemouth website statement makes me want to hit things haha

Darius Henderson. That is all.

Fuck me what a shit week

Offer recieved for JOC!!????????

I don't know whether FB1889 is ITK or not but he's incredibly close to what will happen in the next week or so . It's not JOC btw and it's not Burnley .

This 'once a Blade' stuff is incredibly hollow and tiresome from these players as they fuck off to the likes of Bournemouth.

I think someone needs to have a word with him. He needs telling that if he ever plays at the Lane in the future, whatever he does DO NOT say anything remotely complimentary about the away support (best set of fans), his team (best set of lads) or even dare to applaud his fans if they travel on a rainy Tuesday night in February. I couldn't bear the resulting desolation around BDTBL.
