Kick offs moved already...

Add in Birmingham, Villa, Forest, the Wall, Pigs, Hull and possibly Derby. I mean if its going to kick off its these games not fkin Rotherham. All subject to change because apparently early kick offs mean fans aren't p*ssed despite the fact they can start boozing from 9 a.m. Its just another example of the idiot in charge of SYP's blinkered approach to policing football matches based purely on the consumption of alcohol. Its ok though apparently when its dark people don't booze? No-one seems to have worked out that it will be dark in December.

No I understand what you are saying we all see it differently and I can't imagine it been a problem because as you said it's so far away but it does mean using 2 holiday days up for the sake of only a couple of hours. It doesn't affect me so I don't really know but my point was that there really has to be a better way of doing it and this shouldn't be the answer going forward and pushing the game forward a couple of hours surely doesn't put people off going drinking just as easy to go to Wetherspoons or any where that opens early and have a breakie and start drinking? So can't see how moving the game forward has a positive impact on trouble caused is the point I am trying to get to.

Get your point too to be fair. I guess it would be interesting for the Police to prove that there are less arrests when the games are earlier, although that's very hard to prove because obviously you never know how many arrests there would have being had the game kicked off at three. I think the early kick off is one of the things the Police do and often its in conjunction to local pubs not selling alcohol? There will always be ways round it but personally I'd just drink after the game if the pubs were open and the away fans will go back to dirty Leeds soon after the game.

South Yorkshire Police is run by a куча анютины глазки.

And you look at what is happening in Russia,no segregation and lots of boozing inside the seating area, and only one minor incident involving some irate Argies, that i know of.

Rotherham? Fucking Rotherham?

I'm guessing we'll have to play Millwall at 8:30am? And what about the Sheffield derby, maybe we can kick off before sunrise?

Pathetic, scared set of bastards.

It’s so SYP are free by 3pm to go and arrest elderly people trying to stop the council digging up trees.

Letting one of their own off with a training course for killing a pedestrian when doing 41mph in a 30 zone.
Very well said and I might add that the pedestrian you mention was also a family member of biggey blade and his other half so there feelings towards SYP aren’t exactly favourable at the moment..... and that’s being kind

So sorry to hear that. Hopefully I didn't speak out of turn. I read about it last night. Utterly disgusting

No you didn’t mate. I was glad someone else put it before I did so appreciate it. Even the IPCC feel the same way. If it was you or I that had done it we would have had the book thrown at us. I’ll save the rest for the twats thread

If it means less people don't get pissed and are less likely to get involved in trouble they normally wouldn't and the costs of policing are possibly less than I'm all for it. It might only be Rotherham but its a local game still and a big crowd. At least the games are on a Saturday.

Agree, but at last years Friday night Sheffield Derby

The police said that night time kick offs mean less trouble because with morning kick-offs it gives fans the rest of the day to drink and cause trouble.

I personally prefer an early/late kick off, gives you more opportunity to do something else with your Saturday other than football.

I know that’s not the popular view but never mind.

I'm sure police forces all over the country will have a similar list of fuck ups.
West Midlands police , Birmingham 6
Met police , Maguire family , Guildford 4
Manchester police for letting kids go into a pedo’s house , to protect a surveillance operation
Lots of police forces have skeletons
But seeing people dying on tv , in an uncertified death trap , then trying to blame some fans along with a scum paper as there mouthpiece, well that takes some beating

By the time that Sky and SYP have had a chew at our home fixture list we'll be lucky if we get half the games played at the original times,i wonder how many 3pm Saturday kick offs there will be this season ?

Fair point, you got me there. Maybe Sky trumps the Police it seems!?

I'm not going to defend the actions of plod on those occasions, but they were undoubtedly complex and people made the wrong decisions.

SYP have a long history of such, then add to the mix wholsescale corruption and cover up.

WMP Serious Crime Squad (irony at its best) were corrupt in creating evidence. SYP managed to take this to a much greater scale across many officers.

With the exception of the Met (who police a totally different environment, on a totally different scale) I can't think of a police service that competes with SYP for corruption/incompetence.

It's a real shame for the majority of their officers who I have no doubt do their best.

We weren’t allowed to play in Nottingham on a weekend for about 5 years up until last year. I must have missed all the terrible violence in the previous few years. Spoiled on of the best away days and I’m not there to go anymore now it’s back on!

Or their mates in Durham Cuntstabulary can be home in time for tea and medals? (and count their overtime money?). Interestingly...

For the third straight year, however, the force (Durham) has been rated as ‘outstanding’ by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services, which singled out its efforts in preventing anti-social behaviour, protecting vulnerable people, and fighting serious and organised crime.

No other police service achieved this highest ranking — and this week Durham won yet another accolade. At a time when the nation’s policing is in crisis, amid an epidemic of street stabbings and robberies by moped gangs in ‘Wild West England’, it has the best record for solving crime.

But wait!

At 18 per cent, the proportion of cases it resolves might seem small, but Durham’s success rate is more than three times better than that of similar forces, according to a detailed breakdown of the 4.7 million crimes committed in England and Wales in 2017.

Mike Barton (Durham's Chief Constable) says he’s proud of detection rates but not complacent. ‘Eighteen per cent might be better than other forces, but it is still pretty c**p,’ he says frankly.

Maybe if vanloads of his tossers weren't sat in vans outside Decathlon, it might get better than 18%? Link

No other police force would move the Rotherham game. It’s fucking nuts.

Orgreave!!!! Not SYP. There was half of British Army there dressed up as policemen. I know!! I was there!!

Soon it will be possible to go to Rotherham's ground by tram. Wonder if plans are already in place to halt the tram at Meadowhall for half an hour, then march our fans tbe rest of the way, arriving half an hour into the game with one turnstile open?

in all seriousness there is no history of trouble between us and Rotherham, and plenty of clubs coming to the Lane will bring an equal number of fans if not more than them. If they are changing that game to a lunchtime ko they may as well do the same for eg West Brom and Boro

You’re expecting trouble with Rotherham?!

Their officers on Bouncing Day were quite open in criticising SYP's planning. They were also told by local plod the fans in the Bankers and hence the teams that were held up, were hardcore hooligans.

Rotherham have asked for the early kick off because the only horse and cart out of Canklow sets off at 9am.

You’re expecting trouble with Rotherham?!

Its a big game for them and one we don't want to lose either. There's always a minority who get worse for wear and end up in situations they wouldn't nesacarily normally do. I'm just saying I get why the police have done what they have that's all Rodley.

L**ds & Rotherham games now kick off at 12:15 on "police advice"

Fucks sake...

Can understand it re Leeds, but Rovrum? Nah! There’s no trouble there! They’re the best set of fans in South Yorkshire after us Blades and there’s a mutual respect, aside the banter, between fans of both clubs. We’re like brothers - only we’’re the big good looking one and they’re the small ugly one.;)
