Not bad really. Don't like the white back tbh but overall it's nice.

I personally like it I wasn't sure about the white back but after thinking about it I think it will look so much better with the player names and numbers on them and will also make it easier to see the names and numbers which I quite like the names and numbers got a little lost in the design from last year. Overall I think the shirt is really nice think last year's probably just pips it for me but still really happy with this shirt.

Save yourselves the money! From the back we'll look like last season's away kit! Joke Adidas but I blame United too. They know the fans are crying out for a more traditional United shirt and we've not had one since the Macron one when Harry was here - below. Last season's was decent but they just had to put the black sides in.

I'd like it better if:

  • The Adidas stripes were red
  • The back was striped and;
  • The sponsor logo wasn't so fucking pants.

It reminds me of the Simonds kit from the mid-80s.

Checked out Twitter and it seems most keep going on about the Green Sponsors logo! I'm sorry but that's minor in comparison to the fact the rest of the kit is full dog turd!

What annoys me is that United have let us have this kit and I'm sure they knew that it wouldn't be well received. Its time the club gave season ticket holders 5 choices and let them choose. I'm not a season ticket holder by the way.

Club: “People have said they don’t like the Doordeals logo on the back – is there anyway we can divert attention away from it?”

Adidas: “Well, we could make it a completely white back so that people aren’t sure if they hate it because of the logo or because of the lack of stripes – doubling down on the shitness if you will?”

First one to try it let me know how it goes

Let's call it right. It's fkin awful. I for one won't be buying any for my lads as I don't like them to be walking billboards.

I know a sponsor brings in money and it's commercially necessary for Utd, but why oh why do football clubs think it is ok to bring out kits with enourmous plastic stick on advertisement blocks on the front of the red n white stripes. It just ruins it for me.

A simple thick stripes red n white jersey, black shorts and white socks. By all means have a sponsor on the shirt but have it small, classy, and fairly indiscreet. Sometimes less is more. Think of that classy looking bird down town who shows an appropriate amount of cleavage and a flash of thigh, against the town slapper who is showing all and sundry.

Piss poor kit that Utd. I shall be buying my lads some retro blades kits online for this season.

Say what you really think and get off the fence.

All about personal opinions and mine is they've fked up big time

I say it every season, but why the fk can't they allow season ticket holders the opportunity to have a say from a short list of designs. After all, it's us poor fkers that are expected to buy it

They did this a number of seasons ago, but for whatever reason won't repeat it

Adidas have done it. Not just us by the sounds of it:

Technical partner, adidas, commented: "Our current design direction for the upcoming season sees us providing a plain reverse shirt treatment for Sheffield United, and our other partner clubs, who have stripes within their identity. In combination with more tailored and bespoke detailing throughout the kit we believe this will allow us to create more standout designs for our clubs in the UK and we're looking forward to seeing the shirts on pitch in 2018/19."

The contradiction in that statement is that you've taken away our identity you bastards!

Being a 35 year old adult I haven't bought a kit to wear in over 20 years so as Long as I can recognise which team we are Im happy.

I buy them but literally only wear them when I'm watching united so usually I'm either wearing a jacket because it's cold, sat at the back of the south stand because that's where I sit, or sat on a settee, so the back of the thing is not really my primary concern to be honest.

I think it looks 8/10 from the front except for the white box which is mildly shite.

If people don't like it, don't buy. Somebody somewhere within Adidas is then asked awkward questions about why the Sheffield United figures are so shite compared to last season. Go and get some feedback from the customers, they'll be told. There's your chance to let them know.

Of course if it's the last of the Adidas kits they wont give a toss

Im not sure about this kit. Unlike the last 2 years where loved it from the start. We will see if it grows upon me

The sponsor on the front is way too big. Ruins the shirt. And even worse, who thought of making it green! Makes it look even more tagged on. I honestly don't think me or my daughter will be getting one. Which is very disappointing.

Absolute pile of shite!

I wouldn't wear that if I was given one for nowt. Fucking Adidas? - get rid if that's the best they can come up with. And which bright spark at the club okayed the use of green lettering for the sponsor? It's not a plain white back - it's a few red stripes on a Derby shirt!

Easily the most minging home shirt since the diamond one.

Just said the same thing. For those that defend Adidas check out some of the other beauties they'v done in recent seasons for striped teams!

Wasn’t the time we voted on it the time we ended up with the very popular Avec home shirt in 96/97? I think this had been following the lack of popularity of the hideous 95/96 effort in Bassett’s last year.

Looks like there'll be plenty of M and Ls available at the club shop then haha.. no stock issues if this thread is owt to go by.

The away kit better not be so marmite or there'll be riots.

We did it around 2009 ish I think. We had one that had a different red, sort of raspberry. It was shite. That's all I remember.
