Recommended by Van Winkel by any chance?

CW has admitted he doesn't do overseas players as he doesn't know enough about the overseas market
Yes, in France, and no not a recommention from van winked, we have been looking at players far and wide, the number 1 target this summer is Egan, but the problem is wages, united are number 18 in the championship regarding how much the players get, so the incentive is the signing on fee, and a big bonus at the end of the season.

Very interesting, and surprising.

French 1st division or 2nd division?

So despite the fact CW's got some money to spend we're likely to miss out on our targets because we won't pay the wages, great.

It looks as though Mepham will be on the move to Bournemouth this summer. Surely that automatically puts us on of the running to sign Egan. They won't want to lose two 1st team defenders in one window again.

Age wise is he young? Target man or pacy forward? If he'll do for Wilder, he'll do for me!

I'll have a pop at Jean-Philippe Mateta from Lyon.

20 year old, 6 foot 3 forward who scored 17 goals in Ligue 2 on loan at Le Havre.

There's also Ludovic Ajorque, a 6 foot 6, 24 year old striker who scored 14 in Ligue 2 for Clermont Foot.

Can't see too many other viable options from having a quick look at the goalscoring charts.

Nicolaus_Copernicus might have an idea.

If John Egan is indeed our 'top target' that's underwhelming. And probably shits all over any suggestion we might have £20m to spend.

You’ll be paying £6-£7m for Egan. Chuck a signing fee on top of that. That’s neck end of £10m. Couple more at £3-£4m and the monies have dwindled without considering retaining some for JTW spending.

All so, wilder , Mitch and knill are very confident united will be in the play offs next season, so they have something up their sleeves.

Egan £6-7m?! No fucking way!

If Wilder would consider paying more than half of that he wants his head looking at!

He didn't even start the season in Brentford's team. He was behind Harlee Dean, who they sold for about £2m.

Beat me to it. He's got 1 year left on his contract and rumoured to want to return to the North. Thats why we're probably in for him. May cost in the region of £2-3m. Problem is Bournemouth are interested and the draw of premiership wages is likely to mean he's tempted to stay down south.

Hope you can get £20 million up six sleeves:)

£20million to spend?

We were top at Christmas and spent £2million. You think we’ve gone right let’s increase it 10 fold.

£5million would be closer to the amount.
