I was probably made in Carl Bradshaw's parents' bed.

Wonderful Bert! I remember the first time I ever went there. I thought I’d gone to heaven.

Unit then all I’d known was a day trip to Brid as my annual holiday. A friend was going to Millhouses Lido one sunny day and I was asked if I wanted to go? His dad took us in his Bedford Beagle van. I rode in the back, no seat belt.

When we got there I could scarcely believe my eyes! A place to paddle and swim and it was on our doorstep? I never knew it existed.

Years later I returned regularly as a teenager. A fine place to spend a burgeoning youth and pull a few girls.

Great memories!

Think this has been discussed somewhere before, possibly earlier in this thread. There was a shop in Fitzalan Square but my earliest memories are of the main shop at the top of The Moor which I think became Quadrant Stationers.
There was a tunnel from the basement of the new shop into the old shop for some reason.
