He said all of that at the start of the season when things were going well. He’s changed his mind and is implying far more different things in his recent interviews and I’m far from the only person that interpreted it that way.

Everyone appreciates what he has done but he’s done it under the same structure he has in place today. Nothing has changed, other than his general demeanour and comments which lead many of us to believe he may walk away unless a long pre-existing ownership situation changes all of a sudden.

Try not to get too emotional about the manager. We’ve had heroes before, they came they went. We’ll have others. I want Chris to stay but putting further doubt in the minds of supporters and players helps no one. He’s gone about it in the wrong way.

In reality CW is and always been a fan of SUFC. He's invested a lot in the Blades, as a player, manager and lifelong fan. To dismiss his right to comment as "sticking his nose in where it shouldn't be" is insulting. I have avoided making any comment on the ownership situation because I have as little inside knowledge as I suspect you do. Maybe you should take your own advice?

We’ve all invested a lot in Sheffield United. Most of us haven’t been paid a lot of money at the same time. If Chris can have his opinions I can have mine, except mine don’t involve issuing ultimatums to those that own the club. My stance is what it is. If he doesn’t like the situation he has a choice.

Personally speaking, I would prefer he carried on doing a good job with what he has. Not making waves and casting more doubt over everything.

All from todays press. Its what Managers do talk the press about their frustrations at Board level. Why is CW any different he wants direction at a time when there is none. Hopefully the two owners this week will see the sense of what he is saying and put their personal differences to one side.

Not saying its right or wrong just pointing out what happens in football. Its not like any other industry as agents are involved bringing a third party to the table. CW has his own. I don't get why some people have problems with CW doing what other managers do regularly. If anything his actions are more justified than the likes of Pochettino and Benitez as he currently has no direction whatsoever at a time when the transfer window is now open.

Glad to know. I don’t read every comment on here but it always seems that Wilder is immune from any form of criticism.

My view is that the ownership situation is what it is and it will resolve itself when it does. His rants won’t make a difference. Hope he stays but if he’s not satisfied with up coming events then he can please himself. Keep grinding away at it....or take the door on the left.

Hmmmm ...... the point you're missing here is that Tufty isn't just our manager ........ he's also a fan as well and is rightly pissed off that the owners are having a childish pissing competition at the time when they should be selling their wives into slavery to put some much needed investment into the first team squad ....... preferably before January 2019.

He probably has overstepped the mark in terms of what the board would like him to say ....... but personally I'm tired of managers over the last 30 years who have kept quiet, toed the party line, and been sacked / left the Club when appropriate investment was withheld by the Board.

If nothing else, Tufty has flagged up the elephant in the room ....... that we have a relegation budget currently ........ he massively (forgive me) over performed this season, on a minimal budget with very little to spend on transfers.

My take on the situation is that Tufty is very concerned that we will start slipping backwards, rather than capitalising on a great first season back in the Championship and pushing on. This is very likely to happen whilst our owner(s) are more concerned with using transfer windfall money to cover losses than investing in a few Championship quality players.

My take on the situation is that Tufty is very concerned that we will start slipping backwards, rather than capitalising on a great first season back in the Championship and pushing on. This is very likely to happen whilst our owner(s) are more concerned with using transfer windfall money to cover losses than investing in a few Championship quality players.

He knew what the budget was when he came and I don't think the amount of money is his greatest concern.

He just needs to know what he has to work with so that he can he plan accordingly.

Never ceases to amaze me how many people are happy to sing "we aint got a barrel of money" and then demand further "investment" from the owners.

Presumably they don't understand the implications of not having a "barrel of money" or they don't actually believe it as they sing it.

I accept all of that but I’m not missing the point. I know why he’s saying it but he’s going about it completely the wrong way in my opinion and public statements of discontent will do nothing to help the situation. If he thinks that implying his potential resignation will suddenly spring the owners into action then he’s extremely naive in my opinion. They will do what they want and in their own time. It’s their club.

The whole “he’s a fan” thing doesn’t romance me as much as it does other supporters. We’re all fans and as a fan I would like some harmony maintained on the field and in the changing room whether we have that in the boardroom or not. Especially if not!
