I have only just noticed this thread, and was enjoying it as it seems to confirm that it is not just my memory that is deteriorating, but that we have had so many forgettable players that everyone else has forgotten them as well. And then I saw 'Trenton Wiggon', and thought that I remembered him clear as a bell, and particularly the last game of the 78-79 season, where we needed to beat Leicester by something like 9 goals to avoid relegation. We went 2 up, I think, and Wiggon scored both goals in one of his few appearances. I went to check before putting this post up, and it turns out it was Ian Benjamin, in one of his rare appearances, who scored the goals.Trenton Wiggon
Benjamin's debut, 4 more games (first 4 of the 1979-80 season) then he was sold to WBA for £180KI have only just noticed this thread, and was enjoying it as it seems to confirm that it is not just my memory that is deteriorating, but that we have had so many forgettable players that everyone else has forgotten them as well. Paul Parker, under Howard Kendall. Had to double check that he actually played for us, couldn't find a picture in our kit.
Paul Parker was managing Ashford Town a few years ago but seems not to be in football now.View attachment 39486

Surly if I name a player that I'd forgotten about instantly makes him remembered?!
Someone like Jon O’Connor? You are new to this game HCDM.... Someone else names the player and you reply...."I'd completely forgotten about him!"![]()
