Someone has posted it but none of them have so far held their hands up and said "Yeah, we look right dicks to be honest". I imagine the first line of defence will be calling me sad for collecting the things they said and showing them up.

It's already got 100 retweets so it seems some people in Sheffield thought it was a good idea to collect these nuggets of shit......

I loved so many of comments some had a bit of sense like saying Barnsley & burton would go down. But alot really were on cloud cuckoo land 15pts & 70pt gaps. But in slight defence of them on face of it they had just been in 3 consecutive playoffs narrow defeats in all 3 but they fell foul of almost the sporting rule that we had drummed into us most weeks in league 1. V fleetwood stevenage Crawley etc

These are the facts; Promoted with a weak team. None of which would get anywhere near our first team. Signed weak, lower league players. See above. Manager with no experience at this level. If any Utd fans can’t see this, they’re football knowledge is also weak. Maybe they do see it. Who’d have the nads to admit it though? Roll on November when their first XI are worn out, their replacements are dogger & they’re in bottom 3 & reality dawns
 
Serious question for you Roygbiv - did you come across any posters at all who said that we would be alright / might make the step up / could be top half, etc etc, or were they all like the ones you saved?

Genuinely was around 3 or 4. My mate who posts on Owlstalk says the thread I took all these quotes from is basically the cess pool of the forum. The most humourless, bitter and pointless posters on the forum is how he described those that post on the 200 page United thread.

As funny as it is reading all the quotes from deluded Wendies, I can't also help feel a little disappointed and worried for next season. Yes they are financially struggling to keep up with their big spending but they have still have a decent starting eleven - particularly if Jao and Forestieri stay. We on the other hand are in total disarray off the pitch and could quite possibly lose our manager and then be faced with weeks of playing catch up when all of our rivals are signing players or doing the prep work to sign players. We'll not get another Chris Wilder either who is class.

I'm not trying to be pessimistic but I am very disappointed that as we write on here that this season is ending the way it is. It leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth, considering we battered Wednesday this season, we stand to take a huge step backwards unless we get this sorted out ASAP. Sorry but this is how I feel right now.

I have planned for weeks to gloat at the end of this season on Facebook about how we've finished above them and our attendances are better but I've kept schtum because I know what reply I'll instantly get if I do! The last bit is a minor point and yes it makes me sound childish I'm sure but I don't feel in the mood for gloating over Wednesday sadly.

Wrong. In all my 63 years, Wednesday have always been a disgrace to Sheffield. Match-fixers, supporter murderers etc.

Something that leaps out to me is the distinct lack of goals in their squad. Clarke – Absolutely useless at this level. Yup. Joint third-highest scorer in The Championship and selected for the PFA Championship Team of the Year.

That's why Wendy have been around the relegation zone all season and we haven't been out of the top half.

For those that look to rewrite history and suggest we were close this season or only 4 games off (all would need to be wins):

We passed their final points total of 57 by match 37.

At their rate of progress they’d need a season of 56 matches to reach our 69 points.

We needed 9 less games, almost 20% of the season to match them. They’d need a further 10 games to reach us.

That is some gulf. La Liga really is difficult for some :)

At the end of the day if we turn up ( which we will ) they might just need another ball. Even better if they turn up with there pashun and have a go at us instead of boring us to death like Cloughs Burton then they could get a right royal fucking pasting.

Just remind yourself sonny what the results at your place were against those two teams and who got a right royal pasting.
