Alan Biggs questions to the owners

A sensible view shared by many but ignored by the few who exist solely to see their username in forum lights.

I don't know about you ST but perhaps that's just a view we would generally take as accountants? It's likely there's a whole heap of contractual issues between them, some of which may even forbid one of them to "just stick some funds in" this summer?

Like everyone else I want to see this sorted out asap but I also accept and appreciate that this is likely to go on for a while due to the assumed complexity caused mainly by the split between the FC Operations and Assets.

which to date has received a stoney silence from each party

Predictable and true answers from the owners:

1.ongoing
2.no.
3. We will meet up with Chris soon to discuss the player wage budget for next season. Funds will be available immediately and our budget will be greater than last summer as we presume Chris wishes to invest more in the squad.
4. As above.
5. We have been given no indication from Chris that he is anything but happy at Bramall Lane for the long term. We certainly value him greatly and reward him handsomely for his efforts.
6.when needed yes and regularly for day to day business through the Chief Executive.
7.yes
8.yes.

Simples. Just needs doing and saying.

It's a common sense view though. These deals aren't written on the back of a fag packet. McCabe gave limited information to shareholders of SU Ltd because that company owns half of Blades Leisure Ltd. There's no such issue for the Prince as far as UTB LLC goes. There's the goodwill thing obviously but I rather hope that whichever of them comes out with control, Wilder is the thing to sort out rather than pandering to a few attention seekers, who can't see that if this does go to court, we're looking at months not weeks. Far better for them both to settle matters than both putting out possibly conflicting stories that will only confuse and anger us all more.

In this case, the simplest "solution" to divulge all won't have any effect on the deal being finalised.

There are no white knights here, no matter how much some posters imagine themselves to be.

Potential demise? Jesus.
Why not ? Perfectly possible. My first post in this thread was simply to defend a journo from criticism that he shouldn't at least ask some questions. That is all. Maybe there'll be no answers. Maybe it'll get settled. You have heard of disputes getting settled before they get to court ? I'd love to know the basis upon which you are so phlegmatic about this issue Sean

I feel like penning a letter in which I pledge to repeatedly order new season ticket cards and cut them in two until these questions are put to the board. That'll show 'em *shakes fist*.

You are the last person I'd expect to give up a season ticket in protest...

What's your take on it Barney?

In the absence of anything concrete I'm struggling to get angry.

Do you actually care about the club Sean ?

Aah. Bigger Blade time. "I care because I shout from the rooftops".

So you doubt I care about the club because I have a sensible, professional view on boardroom matters? I certainly care about the club enough to defend it when people post absolute nonsense about what's going on. Agenda based lies half the time.

I want to know as much as anyone. However understanding how these things work luckily stops me from being some childish cheerleader - and a very gullible one - for those who just want to knock the owners ad nauseum.

No I mean a link between the club and it’s bemused patrons.

Seriously Carl. There's nothing to be bemused about. There's a takeover battle and Wilder has concerns, as do we. That's where we are. I'm rather more interested in the outcome than a sound bite that, should it come, is likely to tell us next to nothing.

When forum members believe they've stirred up press interest - fromBiggs for Christs sake - that shows how far removed from reality some are.

They aren't arguing over whose round it is here. It's millions of pounds, and their, and most importantly, the club's future. That's much more serious than posters egos.

Looks like its being debated on Biggsy's show tonight on Sheffield Live at 7 p.m. So the 1 man viewing audience better tell his dog to turn up. Looking at the twitter exchange CW's mate is getting involved again. Best response is from Paddys :D

My pants are still dry and will remain so.

The issue? We can do nothing about the outcome. It really is that simple.

On what grounds is our demise perfectly possible?

demise
[dih-mahyz]
noun
  1. death or decease.

  2. termination of existence or operation:

You have to laugh at paddys.

If anyone does have even half a clue on that tweet it will be Wit. Which - get ready sandy vaginas - could possibly mean his bezzy does as well. Shock fucking horror eh!

Biggs may be a plonker , everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I am neutral about him.
But us Blades are quick to criticize the local media as being in the Club's pocket.
It's ironic then , that as soon as one of them asks the right questions , some on here want to vent their personal agendas.
Which of us has not got those very questions swirling around their own head just now ?
Too bad if the Club ignores them , but at least they've been asked.
We have delighted in taking the piss out of the Chansiri ownership at Swillsborough.
We have boasted of how sensibly run we have been , in contrast to that lot.
I'm afraid we look badly run just now.
Our owners are suing each other !
So you want the journos to do nothing ?
The very existence of our Club is threatened , never mind a few bob for this summer's signings.
In such circs , the media would be negligent if it didn't try to find some answers.
Or are you saying that our potential demise , after 129 years , is not of legitimate public interest ?
We genuinely could be the first big old club to implode under the pressure of ridiculous wages & fees.

Well done, most ridiculous post of the entire season. Only one game to go, so I doubt anyone will beat it. Even on the Flat Earthers thread.

This situation at the club is undoubtedly a serious matter.

My concerns were expressed as far back as 16th April - o.p."We are vulnerable this summer". Then again in o.p. "Pledge" on 28th April.

The comments by Wilder and Biggs clearly authenticate what I was saying and certain members should 'look in a mirror' !! Those threads include loads of poor posts in spirit as well as content.

At least some have shifted stances since mid-April.

Check the "I'm right" post after yours. Now a luminary like Alan Biggs has weighed in, someone's stock has risen, at least in their own mirror.

My view like all other Blades is that this ownership dispute obviously needs resolving quickly. But being fair we have just had a decent season considering our expectations at the start of the season and our 6 years in league one. However, now we have established ourselves in the championship, it's crucial that expectations are duly altered. It's all too early atm but the longer the dispute goes on, and the more it effects next season the more anger is warranted for me. That's not to say that I believe we should all adopt Woodwardfans proposal though. Been there done that, method don't work boss.

'Been there, done that'. Is there a precedent? I'm interested Barney. May be able to learn from it.

What's your take on 'the proposition' too?

Well it's too early for one, but as I said I don't think it would be a realistic nor effective method of protest anyway.

Sorry Barney. I had done a typo on my reply

It should have said 'been there done that'. So is there a precedent?

Anyway. The proposal was to put fans names to Biggs' questions. ( or a letter similar to my draft).

To support our manager. Show the prince we are all behind the manager.

Has it been done before?

Oh, I was talking about taking scissors to season tickets.

No probs. There's so much mis-information on here these days. It's akin to American politics.

Who cut up season tickets in the past? Don't bother!!

Or we can wait until the seasons done, aslong as it's sorted before the stw opens.
