Since the mighty Birmingham have destroyed our play off hopes for good, I’m wondering how we will shape up for 2018/19.

It’ll be a much harder league next season. Blackburn, Wigan, will be no push overs and’ll be a much stronger force in this league than the likes of Sunderland, Bolton and Burton. I also expect Albion and Stoke to have a big presence. On the whole, it’ll be a tighter and stronger league next season.

How will we shape up? Our points are mostly attributed to the flying start we had early on that surprised everyone, that won’t happen so easily now.

I’m sensing a return to the uninspiring early Warnock years if there isn’t a major change to our transfer dealings.

Good post that one destroying next season before this one is dead, still in the mix for this season. It's a long shot now but could still do it.

I know everything seems doomed now-- but trust me......we are fucked. You're fucked. I'm fucked. We're all fucked.
I’m not saying that at all. I’m just worried how we will cope next season in a league that’ll have much stronger and better teams.

Oh no, Blackburn and Wigan, forget the other 22 teams. Especially those with parachute payments coming out of their arses left and right.

Every single year, someone says this. League One was meant be harder last season!

Next season I'd predict something like this but after these teams there aren't any I'm confident will challenge for promotion:

1. Aston Villa / Fulham
2. Middlesbrough
3. West Brom
4. Southampton
5. Derby
6. Stoke

Granted there'll be surprises but is there really anyone after those we can expect to be strong? And it's rare more than one of the relegated sides finish in the top 6.

I think it'll be wide open for the play offs.

There’s a lot to happen before we know what the teams coming down and up look like not to mention all those still here so how can you judge who’ll be strong or not. Who knows if Villa are still here for example and if they are whether they’ll be as strong next season or if they don’t go up they’ll lose their better players.
Reading were a penalty away last season and lucky to stay up this.
Can we take some deep breaths before we write off next season and anoint next year’s champions?

Apart from a 14 game run we have been distinctly ordinary. We have shown no form at all and you have no idea what team will turn up.

Biggest disappoints have been our last two away games, bottom four teams, five goals conceded, poor defensively, little passion or energy, no points.

We finish against two teams in exactly the same place as us, play off failures. Out of the three teams you might make a genuine contender for a play off spot.

Last season people predicted that Sunderland and Middlesbrough would be strong in this league. Middlesbrough are up there but not exactly walking the league. What evidence is there that West Brom will do well next season? They have been awful this year and not aware that they are financially strong? I think it depends who goes up, if it is Wolves, Villa and Fulham I think the Championship may not be as good next year. Cardiff have done fantastically well this year, but if they don't go up will struggle to maintain their challenge next year. Norwich will lose their parachute payments and can see them declining.

Next season depends on what forwards we bring in and if we can get a wing back or winger that can cross the ball.

If the squad stays the same I think we’ll finish about 16th/17th.

you missed out Rotherham

We’ll be mid table IMO. Unless some surprising investment.
Which let’s be honest on our budget is we’re we should be

Mid table, don't talk nonsense Godfrey, we're doomed man I tell yer, DOOMED!

I'm not quite sure how we can class ourselves as either fucked or unfucked without us having had the transfer window.

Can we at least finish this season first before losing our minds about next years' big scary Championship?
