So after the balls up in Barnsley, it's back to BDBL for the visit of Middlesbrough. It's been a wonderful season, but it would all but be over without a victory tonight. 5 games to go, and 4 points behind, we really need to make that 1 with 4 to play. That's without contemplating other teams results. Will be a very difficult task, but unless we get lucky elsewhere a draw doesn't seem enough....

Anyway..

Any team news? :)

Unless Duffy is to start it would seem unchanged?

Blackman's final game of a 3 match ban.

Stearman still out?

Well our recent record is again good at home, undefeated in 5, but this will be a big test against a Boro side that know victory will put them in a very strong position. Victory for us could really change things again, but Millwall and Bristol City look likely to win.... Derby play Wolves tomorrow...... Nothing is certain in football though, and I'll go for a hopeful 2-1 Blades victory....

It's the hope that kills you.
After 50 seasons one realizes that risking death is a crucial part of enjoying life.
So I keep returning to the Lane.
And to the ski slopes with dodgy knees & eyesight.

I think tonight could go in our favour due to the last chance scenario. Shit or bust time for us, so if the lads give it all they have we are in with a real chance.
Either way, whatever tonights outcome the management staff and players have done us proud this season , so if it's not quite enough for us to get in the play-offs then so be it but we should be so proud of how we have progressed this season.

Currently in Thailand, advise required how to watch or listen to Boro match wanted.Tried to sign up for match pass on ifollow but not getting anywhere.

Lose tonight and it is absolutely 100% season over.

Got a good feeling about tonight, this is last chance saloon and I think we'll take it.

Win tonight and it's all to play for with the other huge game at the weekend.

Win both away games and we're right back in it!

I'm quietly confident, just play to the last fekkin minute this time.

I actually really fancy us tonight. Boro won't be looking forward to this one, they haven't beaten any of the top 8 home or away this season.

Everyone has to be on their game tonight and then we can do it, so no crap goalkeeping, no forgetting to mark up, no rash challenges in the box, no sloppy turning over possession, no leaning back 45 degrees when shooting and no miskicks or shut your eyes finishing please!

I’d then settle for one of these with the scores level late on!

I'm sensing a 1-0 win tonight to keep the dream alive.

And then a 2-1 loss at the weekend to murder it in cold blood.

Just remember chaps, a draw is all we need to be victorious over the other Barnsley side!!!

I agree that a win would put us right back in it..

However I can't see us picking up a point from now until the end.

I think physiologically the players are done... in the main we look to lack confidence when balls do come in to the box... we overplay it when in good positions and corners are a joke.

I think this pattern is now set in the players minds and is the only way we know how to play.

Really hope to be proven wrong though.

no place for rational objective thought as a supporter. I was pissed off on Saturday but I'm now back believing that all of our chances will equate to hammering someone and we will look solid at the back with 15 mins to go. Bring on the Boro! Fancy a good game tonight

Can't make the game tonight as I've got a routine MRI scan at the hospital later.
Can't predict a score for tonight. I just want the lads to cut out the sloppy mistakes from previous games and WIN. Utb

I am really struggling to get my self excited for this one, in my heart of hearts I know it’s probably all over after Saturday.

I'm smelling a draw. No way we'll keep Adama Traoré quiet all game. Heck of a player.

Best ball ever made that, lovely to hit from that kinda range.

I remember walking back along Eccy Road after that game and that goal by Jags. Nice warm evening, stopped for a few drinks. Bloke said to me "did you go to the game today mate", "yes pal", I said, "how did we play?" he asked, "just watch match of the day mate......."
